Objective:To assess the application values of lung ultrasound(LUS)to diagnose bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)in preterm infants.Methods:54 infants clinical diagnosed as BPD were included in the study.According to gestational age and inhaled oxygen concentration, all children were divided into mild, moderate and severe BPD.All cases underwent lung ultrasonography, and 26 cases underwent 64 MSCT scan.we screened the pleura and the pulmonary parenchyma for sonographic abnormalities.and compared the LUS scores with the CT parenchymal scores in terms of correlation with clinical severity. Results:transthoracia ultrasound of the lung visible irregularities of the pleura, subpleural nodes,alveolar-interstitial syndrome, lung consolidations and pulmonary atelectasis. The LUS scores showed better correlation(r=0.831,p<0.01)with the clinical severity of BPD,and the LUS scores also showed well correlation(r=0.677,p<0.01)with CT score. Conclusion:pulmonary ultrasound can observe the pulmonary lesions in children with BPD in real time, and can effectively reflect the clinicalseverity of BPD.
