Objective:To explore the risk factors of asthma after bronchiolitis.Methods: Data were obtained from 489 children with bronchiolitis were hospitalized in the respiratory center of children’s hospital affiliated to chongqing medical university in January 2009-December 2013.The data includs the patient’s sex,age of oneset,antibiotic therapy in pregnancy,partus maturus,production methods,birth weight,birth with breathing machine auxiliary breath,early-life antibiotic use,feeding way,obesity,etiology,atopy,family history of allergies,family history of asthma,and maternal smoking during pregnancy.The next,telephone follow-up of 4years after discharge their breathing,and record their parents’ degree of culture,living environment and the pets.The relationship between the possible factors and the incidence of asthma were analyzed by using the Chi square test and the Logistic statistical method.Results: In 489 children with bronchiolitis,there were 154 cases of asthma in 4 years.We compared the single factor between asthma group and non-asthma group,there were significant differences on the single factor,and found significant differences in the patient’s sex,antibiotic therapy in pregnancy,partus maturus,early-life antibiotic use,etiology,family history of asthma,and exclusive breastfeeding(P=0.028、0.02、0.001、<0.01、0.026、<0.01、<0.01).These factors which include the patient’s sex,antibiotic therapy in pregnancy,partus maturus,early-life antibiotic use,etiology,family history of asthma,and exclusive breastfeeding jointly influenced the occurrence of asthma after bronchiolitis in children(P=0.000、0.013、0.004、0.038、0.008、0.020、0.000,OR=0.414 、 2.045 、 1.994 、 1.959 、 1.958 、 1.795 、0.456).However,the factors include age of oneset,partus maturus,production methods,birth weight,birth with breathing machine auxiliary breath,obesity,atopy,family history of allergies,and maternal smoking during pregnancy had nothing to do with asthma.Conclusions:There were multiple factors influenced the development from bronchiolitis to asthma.Pure breast feeding and good living conditions around children are protective factors.
