| Objective:Many researches have demonstrated that vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms are closely related to type 2 diabetic nephropathy(T2DN)in diabetes mellitus(DM)patients.Nevertheless, the results are still inconsistent and inconclusive. Therefore, this study is conducted in order to evaluate the association between vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms and susceptibility to T2 DN in Chinese Han Population. Methods:We screened online English databases(Pubmed,Science Citation Index,Cochrane,Embase)and Chinese databases(Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure,CBM,Chinese Wanfang,VIP)for those revelant studies updated to December 2017.The odds ratio(OR)and 95% confident intervals(CI)were used to calculate the strength of effect by using stata12.0 software.Results:7 studies involving 1496 subjects were finally recruited. We evaluated the allelic and genotypic differences between T2 DN patients and T2 DM controls. When compared with the diabetic paitients without nephropathy, our results showed that no significant association was found among Apa I、FokI、TaqI variant and T2 DN in Chinese Han Population(all P values > 0.05),BsmI variant is related to increased risk of T2 DN under the allelic model(B vs b:OR = 1.86,95%CI = 1.31-2.65,P = 0.001)and the domain model(BB+Bb vs bb:OR = 2.02,95%CI = 1.38-2.96,P = 0.000).Conclusion:In Chinese Han Population, the Bsm I variants might related to T2DN′s susceptibility,B allele and BB+Bb genotype of BsmI variant might be the risk factors for T2 DN.Further researches are still required to testify our results. |
