Objective Explore the characteristics and differences of organ function disorder of patients with sepsis, caused by Gram-negative bacteria or Gram-positive bacteria.Method Patients diagnosed sepsis of emergency ICU and comprehensive ICU of our hospital, from Oct.2016 to Jul.2017 were included in our study. All patients included were divided into 2 groups according to the results of sputum and blood culture,Gram-negative bacteria(G-)group and Gram-positive bacteria(G+)group.PO2/FIO2(represented respiratory system function),total bilirubin(represented liver function),creatinine(represented kidney function),mean arterial pressure(represented circulation system function),platelet count(represented coagulation function),and GCS score(represented brain function)were collected at the time of admission,24 hours,48 hours,72 hours,4 days,5 days,6 days...after admission, until the patient died or out of hospital. Then, calculated daily SOFA.ResultsTotally 62 patients were included in our study.G+ group cover 28 patients(45.2%),G-group cover 32 patients(54.8%).Respiratory system disorder was first failing organ due to sepsis.Cardiovascular system dis-function usually occurs at 4 days after admission. There was a correlation between cardiovascular failure and liver failure in G+ group(P < 0.05),and also respiratory failure was associated with brain failure in G-group(P < 0.05).Gram-positive bacteria infection sepsis patients showed higher case fatality rate(P <0.05).Conclusions Respiratory system dysfunction usually was the first organ function disorder caused by sepsis, while circulation system was the last.Compared with gram-negative bacterial sepsis,gram-positive bacterial sepsis has the pathogenesis of serious illness and even death, which is feasible for further study.
