| Objective:This study was designed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of combing the electro-acupuncture with eye-acupuncture as a main treatment on trochlear nerve paralysis,and to provide a safer and more effective rehabilitation method.Methods:Sixty cases were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,thirty cases in each group.In treatment group,with fixed electrical stimulation parameters the combination of electro-acupuncture and eye-acupuncture method was used on the main acupoints of superior oblique.In control group,electro-acupuncture combing traditional acupuncture was adopted with the same electrical stimulation parameters.Once a day and 40 minutes per time,both groups were 15 days for one course of treatment.After three courses,the changes of clinical therapeutic effect,eye movement range and diplopia were observed before and after treatment.We evaluated the efficacy based on efficacy standard,and used SPSS 17.0 software for statistical analysisResults:The treatment group of 12 cases were cured,markedly effective in 9 cases,effective in 7 cases,ineffective in 2 cases,the curative rate was 40.0%,and the total effective rate was 93.3%,compared to the control group 5 cases were cured,markedly effective in 7 cases,effective in 10 cases,ineffective in 7 cases,the curative rate was 17.2%,and the total effective rate was 75.9%,according to statistics,there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).Conclusion:1 Electro-acupuncture combined with eye-acupuncture method was effective treatment of trochlear nerve paralysis,providing a new choice for clinical treatment.2 Electro-acupuncture on ocular muscles could significantly improve diplopia and compensatory head posture,and promote the recovery of extraocular muscles function.3 Electro-acupuncture combined with eye-acupuncture method had a significant effect on the treatment of trochlear nerve paralysis,and had a higher efficiency rate and recovery rate comparing with traditional acupuncture treatment. |
