| ObjectiveTo explore the clinical guiding significance of "belt vessel stagnation of phlegm-stasis",to discuss the clinical effectiveness of the acupoint embedding treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)patients with abdominal obesity according to the theory of "belt vessel stagnation of phlegm-stasis".MethodsA total of 30 patients who met inclusion criteria of PCOS abdominal obesity were treated with acupoint embedding according to the theory of"belt vessel stagnation of phlegm-stasis".The course of treatment was 3 months, and clinical efficacy was evaluated after 3 months of treatment.Body mass index(BMI),waist circumference, menstruation, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS),sex hormone levels and TCM syndrome integral were observed before and after treatment, indexes of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)was calculated, and application of statistical methods were used for analysis.ResultsThe situation of BMI,waist circumference,FINS,insulin resistance(IR)and TCM syndrome score of PCOS patients with abdominal obesity were significantly improved and the overall means of FPG,luteinizing hormone(LH),testosterone(T)value were decreasing after treatment. And the change of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)value before and after the treatment was not significant. After statistics analysis, the comparison of BMI,waist circumference,FINS,IR and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment had significant difference(P<0.05),and the comparison of FSH,LH,T,FBG itself before and after treatment had no significant difference(P>0.05).ConclusionThe theory of "belt vessel stagnation of phlegm-stasis" had significant clinical curative effect in guiding the treatment of PCOS abdominal obesity patients, which can improve the clinical symptoms,BMI and IR of PCOS patients.Acupoint catgut embedding can be a long-term treatment effect with simple operation, less adverse reaction. It had little influence of social factors, such as economy and time, which.was suitable for modern life rhythm and the promotion and use in the future clinical work. |
