| Objective:To study the relationship between perineural invasion and prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer.(ESCC).Methods:Retrospective analysis of the clinical pathological data and perineural invasion status of 162 patients with esophageal squamous carcinoma, single factor and multifactor analysis of the relationship between perineural invasion and prognosis.Kaplan-meier method was used to compare the differences in the survival of neuroinvasive patients. Results : The study found that about 19.7%(32/162)of patients had tumor neuropathy.Neuroinvasion was associated with tumor infiltration depth(P= 0.003),which was associated with postoperative staging(P= 0.007).There was no significant correlation with other clinical pathological features(age, sex, tumor site, tumor differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis)(P >0.05).The 5-year disease-free survival rate was significantly lower than that of the non-neuroinvasive patients(22.7% vs 40.7%,P=0.001),and the 5-year overall survival rate was significantly lower than that of the non-neuroinvasive patients(22.5% vs.44.9%,P<0.001).Cox multivariate analysis showed that neuroinvasion was an independent prognostic factor for esophageal squamous carcinoma(P= 0.001).There was no statistical significance(P>0.05)in the subgroup analysis of patients with neuroinvasion and stage Ⅲ non-divine aggression,no disease survival rate and overall survival rate. Conclusion:Perineural Invasion indicates the late stage of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Perineural Invasion is an independent prognostic factor for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. |
