objectiveTo research the expressions of snail mRNA and Protein in human adenocarcinoma of the lung and their correlations to patient clinical features.and prognosis of adenocarcinoma of the lung. Methods real-time fluores-cencequantitative PCR(qRT-PCR)and immunohistochemical were used to analyze the expressions of snail in a total of41 pairs of NSCLC tissues,12 specimens of normal lung tissues.(collected between 2015.01-2015.05).Analyze the relationship between the level of snail mRNA and protein expression and the clinicopathological features of patients and the prognosis of patients. Results:The expressions of snail mRNA in NSCLC tissues were higher than the corresponding adjacent tissues(P<0.01);The expressions of snail mRNA in NSCLC tissues were higher than the normal tissues(P<0.01);There was no difference in the expression of the snail mRNA of the NSCLC corresponding adjacent tissues and the normal lung tissues(P>0.05).In patients with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma cancerous tissues of snail mRNA expression of the rise and is associated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P<0.05),but not associated with the patient’s gender, age, and the degree of pathological differentiation(P>0.05);The expression rate of snail protein of non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma cancerous tissues were significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(?~2=29.21,P<0.05).There was no snail expression in no cancerous lung tissues; In patients with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma cancerous tissues of snail protein expression of the rise and is associated with lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P<0.05),but not associated with the patient’s gender, age, and the degree of pathological differentiation(P>0.05);Kaplan-meier survival analysis showed that the median survival time of the patients with the snail expression was 20.8 months, and the median survival time was 30.1 months in the patients with the negative expression of the snail, and the survival rate was higher than that in the positive expression group.(P<0.05).Cox regression analysis showed that TNM staging and snail positive expression could be an independent prognostic factor for patients with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma(P<0.05).Conclusion The high expression snail may be closely related to the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer. The expression of the snail gene promotes the metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer to some extent and can be an independent prognostic factor for patients with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma. It can be used as a reference factor to determine the malignancy of non-small cell lung cancer, and the risk factors for poor prognosis. It suggests that it may be a potential therapeutic target for clinical treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. This study provides an important basis for the deep research and targeted therapy of the morphology and functional studies of the snail.
