Objective:To detect the expression of EHD2 and Ki-67 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC)tissues,study the relationship between EHD2 and Ki-67 and clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of LSCC,explore the significance of EHD2 and Ki-67 in the development of LSCC and the relevance between the expression of them.Methods: To collect 50 laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and 50 vocal cord polyp tissues,the expression of EHD2 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and vocal cord polyp were detected by immunohistochemical method.The relevance between the expression of EHD2 and the clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of LSCC were analyzed by statistic methods by comparing with the expression of Ki-67 in the same tissues and collected clinicopathological date.Results:The positive expression of EHD2 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma tissues was lower than in polyp tissues.The expression of EHD2 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma was correlated with the degree of tissue differentiation(P = 0.020)and lymph node metastasis(P= 0.031)and there was no significant correlation with age,sex,tumor size and TNM stage(P > 0.05).The value added antigen Ki-67 is highly expressed in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma while low expressed in vocal cord polyp,correlation analysis shows that there is an negative correlation between them(r=-0.382,P<0.001).Kaplan-Meier survival rate analysis suggests that 5 year survival rate of the EHD2 negative expression group was lower than the positive expression group.Conclusions:1?The expression of EHD2 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma was correlated with the degree of tissue differentiation and lymph node metastasis,and the survival rate of positive expression group of EHD2 was higher than the negative expression group.2?There is an negative correlation between the expression of EHD2 and Ki-67 in the laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
