Comparison Between Micro-Plasma And 2940nm Erbium Laser For The Treatment Of Atrophic Acne Scars

Objective: The patients diagnosed clinically with acne atrophic scar used by micro plasma and 2940 nm erbium laser for facial treatment,we observed the efficacy and safty between the two treatments and their subtypes.Methods:A retrospective summary of 256 clinical data of patients diagnosed with acne depression in my department from December2015 to December 2017,Among them,120 cases of micro plasma group(plasma group),64 cases of icepick scars,43 cases of boxcar scars,and 13 cases of rolling scars;2940nm erbium laser group(2940Er: YAG group)136 cases,icepick scars 62 cases,boxcar scars43 cases,rolling scars 31 cases.Two groups of treatment were performed three times,each time one month interval,followed up for 1 month,Before and 3 times after treatment for the first time according to the piece,ECCA score and the VISIA skin image analysis to evaluate curative effect,and record the immediate postoperative pain degree,erythema,edema,bleeding,erythema duration,with or without scar hyperplasia and skin infections such as adverse reactions.Statistical analysis was performed on relevant data.Results:All patients were improved in two different ways,with an effective rate of over 90%.After 3treatments,the ECCA scores in both groups decreased significantly,P<0.05.Comparison of ECCA scores in the two groups before treatment,P>0.05.After 3 treatments,the ECCA score was compared,the decrease of the score more obviouser in plasma group,but P>0.05.In the two treatments,the ECCA score was decreased in all three subgroups,P<0.05.For icepick scars,there was a significant decrease in the plasma group compared with the 2940 nm erbium laser group,P<0.05.For boxcar scars and rolling scars,compared with the plasma group,the 2940 nm erbium laser group was significantly lower than the plasma group,P<0.05.VISIA skin image analysis: after 3 treatments,the absolute value of pores in both groups was significantly reduced,P<0.05.The absolute value of purple,2940Er: YAG group was higher than before treatment,and P<0.05 was statistically significant.There was no significant change in brown spots.Adverse reactions: during the treatment,5patients in the plasma group showed slight erythema,and 7d disappeared.After the first treatment,2 patients had edema and seepage after the first treatment,all of which were improved by ice compress and medical dressing.2940Er: 4 patients in YAG group showed pigmentation after the first treatment for 2 weeks.Conclusion:Both methods were safe and effective in treating acne scars,and there was no significant difference in efficacy.The 2940 nm erbium laser is superior to the micro plasma in the treatment of the scar of the boxcar and rolling,but the micro plasma is superior to the 2940 nm erbium laser in the treatment of the icepick scars.The risk of pigmentation was lower in the treatment of acne scars,but the degree of pain was greater.The 2940 nm erbium laser has no obvious adverse reaction,but it is more likely to produce pigmentation.
