ObjectiveTo explore the application value of automatic DNA image cytometry in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.Method386 samples of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were collected, and liquid based cytology test and automatic DNA image cytometry examination were performed simultaneously.Followed up pathological examination results and staging of lung cancer. And then complete the relevant analysis.ResultA total of 168 cases were diagnosed as lung cancer with definite pathological evidence,of which 52 cases were not found aneuploid cells, and 218 cases had no definite pathological tumor evidence, among which 43 cases were found aneuploid cells. There were significant differences in the diagnostic value of DNA image cytometry and pathology in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(P<0.05).In the present study, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for LBC(0.926)was significantly greater compared with that for DNA image cytometry(0.747)(P<0.05).In non-small cell lung cancer cases,DNA content was positively correlated with tumor stage, the correlation coefficient was 3.28,P=0.000,and there was no significant correlation with tumor location and tumor type.ConclusionThe diagnostic value of DNA image cytometry in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid for lung cancer is less than that of pathological examination, but it can help screen the patients that need follow-up,and the content of DNA is positively correlated with the stage of non-small cell lung cancer, which can help to evaluate the prognosis of the patient.
