The Research Of Li Dong Yuan's "Wind Herbs" Theory And Its Applications In Spleen And Stomach Disease

Objective Wind herbs is one of the characteristics of Li Dongyuan's medication.In the theory of internal spleen and stomach that he created,wind herbs plays an important role.He applied the wind herbs flexibly to various types of disease certificates and formed a unique“wind herbs” theoretical system.This article,through sorting,summarizing and researching of the works of the famous physician Li Dongyuan in the Ming Dynasty,expound the characteristics of "wind herbs" and its application in spleen and stomach diseases,and provide ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods Based on the systematic study of Li Dongxuan's related works,Li Dongxuan's main academic ideas on the use of “wind herbs” were explored by consulting Li Dongyuan's“Theory of Internal and External Trauma”,“The Theory of Spleen and Stomach” and “The Secret Room of Orchid Room”.Collating the wind herbs used in the three books by summarizing the characteristics of “wind herbs”.Under the guidance of this theory,through consulting the literature and collecting and analyzing clinical cases,the traditional Chinese medicine theory and clinical curative effect of "Wind herbs" treatment of spleen-stomach diseases are discussed,which provides a theoretical basis for the clinical application of "wind herbs".Results(1)The highest frequency of 16 kinds herbs to use are:Sheng Ma(43.4)?Chai Hu(43.1)?Qing Huo(28.3)?Fang Feng(26.6)?Cang Zhu(19.1)?Gao Ben(11.0)?Ma Huang(10.0)?Ge Gen(8.30)?Chuan Xiong(8.00)?Xi Xin(8.00)?Du Huo(7.40)?Man Jing Zi(6.00)?Gui Zhi(5.10)?Bai Zhi(4.6)?Jing Jie(3.70)?Tian Ma(0.90).(2)According to the confidence value higher than 60 of the statistical standard,there are 6 kinds wind herbs with the highest frequency of mutual compatibility:Qiang Huo Gao Ben(87.5)?Sheng Ma Gao Ben(82.5)?Sheng Ma Cang Zhu(77.61)?Chai Hu Gao Ben(77.5)? Chai Hu Chang Zhu(74.62)? Chai Hu Qiang Huo(70.70)?Fang Feng Gao Ben(70.00)?Chai Hu Fang Feng?(69.56)Chai Hu Sheng Ma(69.07)?Fang Feng Qiang Huo(68.68)?Sheng Ma Qiang Huo(62.62).Conclusions(1)Through the study of Li Dongyuan's works,we found that wind herbs is widely used in the diseases of spleen and stomach,and the high frequency herbs are in turn Sheng Ma?Chai Hu?Qiang Huo?Fang Feng?Cang Zhu,etc.(2)The frequency of common use of compatibility is the Qiang Huo Gao Ben?Sheng Ma Gao Ben?Sheng Ma Gao Ben?Chai Hu Gao Ben,etc.(3)The clinical applications of wind herbs in the common diseases from the spleen andstomach system are Irritable bowel syndrome;IBS ? Ulcerative colitis;UC ? Functional dyspepsia;FD,as it using in IBS,the main functions of wind herbs in the disease are lifting Yang,strengthening spleen,promoting dampness,smoothing liver and regulating qi,and opening Xuan Fu.
