The Meta-analysis On External Therapy Of Traditional Chinese Medicine For Treating Gastrointestinal Dysfunction Of Sepsis

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy on external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine for treating gastrointestinal dysfunction of sepsis.Methods:According to the requisition of Cochrane systematic review,search randomized controlled trials of treating gastrointestinal dysfunction of sepsis with external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine from The Cochrane database of systematic reviews and Cochrane controlled trials register,Pubmed,CNKI,WanFang Data,VIP and Baidu Scholar from 1st August 2007 to 1st August 2017.Evaluate the quality of the researches with Modified Jadad Scale,conduct tests for heterogeneity,Meta-analysis,Sensitivity analysis by RevMan5.3.5 software.Results:13 RCTs met our inclusion criteria.On the Modified Jadad Scale,only 3RCTs are high-qualified researches?4-7'?,the other 10 RCTs are low-qualified?1-3'?.?The experimental group in western medicine treatment combined with external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine,the control group used western medicine comprehensive treatment.The Meta-analysis results showed that:compared with the control group,external treatment of TCM group of gastrointestinal dysfunction score was lower?MD=-0.58,95%C1=-0.72?-0.45.P<0.00001?;the APACHE ? score decreased?MD=-3₀2,95%CI=-4.05?-1.99,P<0.00001?;the ICU-hospitalization time was shorten?MD=-2.29,95%CI=-4,39?-0.19,P=0.03?;the 28-day mortality rate was significantly lower?OR=0.43,95%CI=0.28?0.67,P=0.0002?;the serum level of CRP decreased?MD=-13.52,95%CI=-24.88?-2.17,P=0.02?;the level of serum PCT decreased?MD=-5.05,95%CI=-8.10?-2.00,P=0.001?;there was no significant difference in peripheral blood leukocyte count?MD=-1.41,95%CI=-2.84?0.02,P=0.05?.Sensitivity analysis showed that there were no substantial changes in the results of different statistical methods and effect models.Conclusion:Compared with the western treatment group,the combined use of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment of sepsis with gastrointestinal dysfunction,can improve the gastrointestinal dysfunction score,APACHE II score,reduce inflammatory markers?serum CRP,serum PCT?,shorten the ICU-hospitalization time,reduce mortality.There was no obvious effect on the level of peripheral white blood cell.Sensitivity analysis suggested that the results of this meta analysis were stable.
