Objective: To evaluate the osteogenic effect of injectable hydroxyapatite/beta-tr icalcium phosphate/chitosan/methylcellulose(HTCM)scaffolds combined with bone m arrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)for the promotion of maxillary sinus in rab bits. Methods: Select 24 New Zealand rabbits to form 4 maxillary sinus lifting mo dels. The experimental group was injected with HTCM+BMSCs tissue engineered b one;the control group 1 was injected with HTCM scaffold material;the control gr oup 2 was implanted with OSTEONTM II bone powder;the control group3 was b lank control group. At 8 and 12 weeks after operation, the specimens were examin ed by CBCT,HE staining and immunohistochemical staining.Result: The results o f CBCT showed that the osteogenic effect of the experimental group(HTCM+BMS Cs group)was significantly better than that of the control group 1(HTCM group)a nd the control group 2(bone powder group). At 12 w,the experimental group(HTC M+ BMSCs group)was superior to the other two groups, but the difference was r educed. There were no obvious osteogenic images at 2 time points in the blank con trol group;HE staining results show: At 8w,the ossification of the experimental gr oup(HTCM+ MSCs group)was more effective than the other two groups. At 12 w,the osteogenesis of the experimental group(HTCM+ BMSCs group)was better t han that of the other two groups, and the difference was reduced;Osteogenicarea measurement: The experimental group(HTCM+BMSCs group)was superior to the o ther two groups in each time period, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Immunohistochemistry results: In the experimental group(HTCM+BMSCs group),BMP-2 and VEGF expression were strongly positive at 8w and superior t o the other two groups,There was no significant difference in the positive express ion of the three groups at 12 w.Conclusion:Hydroxyapatite/?-tricalcium phosphate/chitosan/methylcellulose(HTCM)injectable tissue engineered bone has good osteog enesis and bone defect repair ability.
