Saruma henryi Oliv.is a perennial erect herb of the Saruma of Aristolochia,and is a unique species of the genus Aristolochia in china.The stems and leaves of fresh plants are applied to the infected part to treat sores,and can also be used to treat stomach pains,joint pains,and the like.Modern research shows that the roots of Saruma henryi Oliv.have anti-tumor,anti-bacterial,anti-viral and other activities.Objectives: The monomeric compounds were extracted,isolated and purified from Saruma henryi Oliv.whole grass and screened for anti-tumor,antibacterial and anti-oxidation activities,which provided scientific basis and theoretical basis for its research and development.Methods: The whole grass of dried Saruma henryi Oliv.is extracted with ethanol and concentrated to obtain an extract,which is extracted with petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and n-butanol to obtain a corresponding extract.The compounds were isolated and purified by Sephadex LH-20,HPLC,silica gel column chromatography and recrystallization.The structures were identified by spectrum data and physicochemical properties.The DPPH method,patch method,double dilution method and MTT method were used to determine the antioxidant activity,minimum inhibitory concentration,and inhibitory activity against proliferation of tumor cells A549(human lung cancer)and Hela(human cervical cancer).Results: 19 compounds were isolated from the dried grass of Saruma henryi Oliv.and their structures were identified as ?-sitosterol(I)?asarinin(II)?chloranthalactone C(III)?daucosterol(IV)? 1H-indole-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester(V)? isofraxidin(VI)?Chlorafortulide(VII)?vanillic acid(VIII)?dehydro vomifoliol(IX)?shizukanolide H(X)?shizukaol O(XI)?Shizukahenriol(XII)?shizukaol K(XIII)?shizukaol F(XIV)?shizukanolide F(XV)? 9-O-?-glucopyranosylcycloshizukaol A(XVI)? Iseluxine(XVII)?Indole-3-carboxamide(XVIII)?Chloranoside A(XIX).N-butanol moiety have a strong ability to remove free radicals.Some compounds of Saruma henryi Oliv.have different degrees of inhibition on Bacillus subtilis.Asarinin has a good effect.shizukanolide H has an inhibitory activity against A549-human lung cancer cells,and the inhibition rate increases as the concentration of the compound increases.Conclusion: 19 Compounds were isolated from Saruma henryi Oliv.for the first time excepted compounds ???.N-butanol moiety have a strong ability to remove free radicals.Compounds asarinin?chloranthalactone C?isofraxidin?chlorafortulide?shizukanolide H?shizukaol F?9-O-?-glucopyranosylcycloshizukaol A have antibacterial activity.Shizukanolide H has an inhibitory activity against A549-human lung cancer cells.The above experiments provide a theoretical basis for the development and use of Saruma henryi Oliv.
