Development Of The WeChat Public Platform For Health Management Of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Objective:To understand the health management needs of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus.To construct a WeChat public platform for health management of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM),and to conduct an empirical study on its technical acceptance,willingness to use and satisfaction.Methods:In the first stage,289 patients who met the inclusion exclusion criteria in the health education classes of gestational diabetes mellitus in a third-class maternal and child health care hospital from June 2016 to March 2017 were selected by convenience sampling method to investigate their health management needs and analyze the influencing factors.In the second stage,the WeChat public platform for health management of gestational diabetes mellitus gestational sugar was constructed.It was guided by the theory of "five carriages",the theory of "empowerment" and the results of the functional needs survey of health education content and information carrier of gestational diabetes mellitus patients in the first stage.After the completion of the WeChat public platform for health management of gestational diabetes mellitus,an empirical study is conducted.Empirical research subjects include:(1)gestational diabetes health education practitioners: using convenient sampling method,66 nurses who participated in maternal and infant health care(midwifery)training and diabetes specialist nurses training in Hefei from 53 medical units in different areas of Anhui Province from August 9,2018 to August 24,2018 were selected as the gestational diabetes health education group.(2)GDM women: a total of 65 pregnant women with gestational diabetes who participated in "education class for gestational diabetes health" and "pregnant school" of a tertiary maternal and child health hospital were selected assubjects from August 15,2018 to September 1,2018.Subjects completed WeChat public platform testing under the guidance of the researcher and filled in the technical acceptance and usage intention questionnaire.Researchers analyzed the technical acceptability,willingness to use,and satisfaction of the public platform for health management of gestational diabetes mellitus WeChat and their influencing factors.Results:In the first stage,the score of content requirement dimension of mobile APP information carrier and function requirement dimension for health management of gestational diabetes mellitus patients was(4.54± 0.51)and(4.28 ± 0.61)respectively.The top three requirements are professional demand,record function and search function demand.There was a significant difference in the total demand for APP among gestational diabetes mellitus patients with different pregnancy and childbirth history,residence and family history of diabetes mellitus(P < 0.05).In the second stage: The WeChat Public Platform for gestational diabetes health management consists of "I","Knowledge" and "Service".There are corresponding modules in the platform,such as the "Record" module which can record blood sugar,diet,exercise,drugs,etc.It can calculate daily energy requirements,consult recipes and commonly used food sugar-raising finger.Number of "tools" module to achieve patient information collection,data entry and analysis,knowledge access,message reminder,interactive and other functions.The results of the empirical study showed that:(1)the health education group of gestational diabetes mellitus: the total score of technical acceptance,usefulness,reliability,usability,attitude,willingness to use,willingness and satisfaction were(4.41± 0.49),(4.52± 0.55),(4.47 ± 0.53),(4.39± 0.39),(4.39 ± 0.70),(4.49 ± 0.58),and(91.39±14.96)% respectively.The score of gestational diabetes related knowledge was(3.35 ± 1.00),the score of attention to related knowledge was(3.28±0.77),the score of knowledge level was(2.16±1.03),the percentage of health managers who had used the platform was(1.44± 0.57),family history on diabetes mellitusinfluenced of the attention of related knowledge.(2)GDM women: the total score of technical acceptance dimension was(4.56± 0.48),the score of reliability was(4.70 ±0.45),the score of usefulness was(4.66± 0.50),the score of usability was(4.53 ±0.52),the score of usage attitude was(4.78± 0.78),the score of willingness to use was(4.52±0.57),and the score of self-efficacy was(4.60 ± 0.54);the score of habits / likability on related knowledge to gestational diabetes mellitus was acquired through WeChat Public Platform with a score of(4.07± 0.79),a score of(3.28± 0.77);whether IT industry affected its technical acceptance and willingness to use it,whether current diabetes history affected its technical acceptance and self-efficacy,and whether personal diabetes history affected its attention to related knowledge.Degree and ability to use.Conclusion:Patients with gestational diabetes mellitus need to use mobile APP carriers for health management.The development of gestational diabetes health management micro-messaging platform needs the support of the professional theoretical knowledge of gestational diabetes health management,the processing of large amounts of data by professional teams,the research and development ability of mobile information technology companies,and through continuous communication,testing and improvement,to develop the desired health.Manage WeChat Public Platform.Empirical study on health education of gestational diabetes mellitus and GDM women showed that the technology acceptance,willingness to use and satisfaction of health management platform of gestational diabetes mellitus were at a high level,which could be popularized.
