Objective:The purpose of research is to evaluate the effect of diabetes health education based on WeChat platform on patient self-management behavior, and to provide reference for clinical nursing decision-making.Methods:This study is a generic experiment. We selected subjects who suffered from type 2 diabetes and was admitted to the department of a top three hospital in Hunan Province from June to August 2017;and under the condition of informed consent, the study selected subjects according to criteria of inclusion and exclusion criteria by means of convenient sampling, and on the basis of the ward number into the intervention group and control group. The control group was given health education according to the method that belongs to the existing health education and routine follow-up after discharge. However,on the basis of the control group, the intervention group gave health education through the WeChat platform and followed up,which includes the following aspects:?The first step included building the diabetes health education platform;on the basis of the platform,we also set up WeChat group and WeChat public number;besides, seting up the Wechat health education management team, which was led by head nurse of endocrine department and invited the endocrinologist or above to serve as a consultant ?The second step was to guide the the selected patients(or their main caregivers)to take part in the diabetes WeChat group and pay attention to WeChat public number.?The third step is news push, which had several aspects, such as the WeChat public platform regularly pushes a knowledge or link about diabetes self-management;and all content comes from professional books, periodicals,or websites.Researchers make necessary edits to create short and slick content in easy-to-understand languages, with easy-to-understand pictures that enhance readability. What' s more, texts generally do not exceed 300 words. In order to ensure that the content of the message is correct for push, all news needs to be reviewed and revised by members of the health education management team and consultants.?The fourth step was automatic reply. We can make use of the WeChat Public number,by automatically extracting information from the public number according to the user's specified key words, and preseting a series of diabetes self-management related knowledge in advance. Then set the corresponding keywords, and set up fuzzy search,so that the patients can request relevant information according to their own needs.?The fifth step was that the intervention group patients(or their main caregivers)were put into the established WeChat group, and the members of the health education management team were set to use the media fragmentation time to help answer questions and confusions raised by the patients, and the remaining members were free to choose responses. Two groups of patients was admitted to hospital for general information and diabetes-related,self-management of diabetes baseline data collection.Three months later, the self-management behaviors of diabetes, the results of the glycohemoglobin reexamination were compared again.SPSS23.0 software was used for statistical analysis after data collection. The analysis data obeyed the normal distribution. The measurement data was analyzed by t-test.The count data were analyzed by chi-square test.Statistical significance level was statistically significant at p<0.05.Results:1.The two groups of patients in general demographic data(including age, gender, marital status, education level, occupation, monthly income, medical security system,habitation,etc.),diabetes-related conditions(including complications, history of annual health education. There was no significant difference in the scores of each dimension between the genetic history, the treatment method, the annual hospitalization history, the annual monitoring of blood glucose history, the course of disease, and glycated hemoglobin, and the pre-intervention self-management behavior scores(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.In the self-management behavioral scores of the control group, diet, blood glucose monitoring, foot care, and prevention and treatment of hyperglycemia were superior to those before intervention. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).Before the intervention, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05),and there was no significant difference in the dimension of movement(P>0.05).The self-administration behavioral scores of patients in the trial group were superior to the intervention in diet, exercise, medication prescribed by the doctor, blood glucose monitoring, foot care, and prevention and treatment of hyperglycemia. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).3.After intervention, patients in the six groups of self-management behaviors, blood glucose monitoring, foot care,prevention/treatment of high and low blood sugar scores were higher than the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The scores of control and motor dimensions were higher than those of the control group. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the use of medication dimensionality scores.4.The results of re-examination of HbAlc in the two groups after 3 months were better in the test group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The way of health education which was based on WeChat platform is obviously superior to the current routine health education in improving blood glucose monitoring, foot care and preventing/managing high and low blood sugar in type 2 diabetic patients, and also has advantages in diet control and exercise; On the one hand,it can reduce the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and be beneficial to the patients.
