Instant Influence Of Inserting Neiguan By Heart Rate Variability In Patients With Diabetic Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy

Objective: The present thesis aimed at evaluating whether manual penetrating of Neiguan(PC6)has an effect on the cardiac autonomic nervous system response in patients with Diabetic Cardiovascular Autonomic Neuropathy and monitoring instant influence in frequency domain Heart Rate Variability in short term(5 min)which includes Total Power(TP),Low Frequency(LF),Hign Frequency(HF)and Ratio between LF and HF(LF/HF).Also,compared with a control group inserting Juegu(GB39),we intended to discover whether the acupoint of Neiguan has relative specificity in adjusting HRV in DCAN.Method: 60 patients with DCAN were randomly divided into two groups and received only one acupuncture treatment session of identical duration.For observation group,Neiguans which locates on both arms were selected as the target points and patients in control group are accepting bilateral inserting of Juegu points,instead.Heart rate variability parameters(TP,LF,HF and LF/HF)were recorded before,during and after intervention.Result: It was showed that there was statistical significance of HF in observation group before/after whereas no significant difference appeared in control group in any variation.There was also no statistical significance between two groups before treatment which means that the baseline is comparable.During the treatment,there was significant change of HF between two groups,and there was statistical significance difference in general HF between observation group and control group.Conclusion: 1.Manual stimulation of Neiguan increases HF in patients with DCAN,which means this point has special effect on improving vagus nerve activit.2.The changes of HRV were immense in observation group than that in the control group,which showed relatively specific effect of Neiguan on HRV in patients with DCAN.
