Objective:This paper is divided into two parts.One is the Meta-analysis of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR).The second is the clinical observation of Mingmu Decoction in the treatment of NPDR.To evaluate the efficacy of Chinese medicine for the treatment of NPDR,and to observe the clinical efficacy of Invigorating Qi,nourishing the liver and kidney,activating blood and removing blood stasis on the disease and exploring its mechanism of action.Methods:1.Meta-analysis:Using the Cochrane system evaluation method of evidence-based medicine to comprehensively retrieve the literature research published in 2007-2017 years about the treatment of NPDR by traditional Chinese medicine,and strictly screened the literature and extracted data.Rev Man5.3 software was used for Meta-analysis.2.Clinical observation: 60 patients who met the criteria were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The two groups were given basic treatment,such as hypoglycemic and depressurization,while the control group was given Calcium Dobesilate Capsules,the treatment group was given Calcium Dobesilate Capsules plus Mingmu decoction.The two groups were treated with 30 days as 1 courses and continued to take 2 courses.The fasting blood glucose(FBG),postprandial 2 hour blood glucose(2h PG),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),TCM symptom score,visual acuity,blood routine and liver and kidney function of two groups before and after treatment were recorded,using SPSS 19.0 for statistical analysis.Results:1.Meta-analysis:Finally,43 articles were included,a total of 3875 patients.The results showed that the effect of Chinese medicine group on total efficiency,TCM syndrome effect,vision change,fundus examination,and fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA)was better than the control group.2.Clinical observation: Both groups were able to improve the TCM symptoms,FBG,2h PG,Hb A1 c,and vision.and in the TCM symptoms,vision,the treatment group were superior to control group,two groups have significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion : 1.Meta-analysis: Traditional Chinese medicine has some advantages in the treatment of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy,and it can be used as an excellent treatment scheme for the treatment of this disease.2.Clinical observation: Mingmu decoction has the effect of improving eyesight,decreasing blood sugar and improving the clinical symptoms of patients.It has obvious curative effect on non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy,and has good safety.
