Objective:Under the guidance of the theory of "Shaoyang as the pivot",observing the difference of curative effect between the two methods of treating with Shaoyang meridians experience acupoint from Zhang Peiling and conventional acupuncture(mainly based on Yangming meridians)in the treatment of acute wind-heat type Bell's palsy, and provide a reference for the optimization of clinical treatment programs. Methods:Strictly according to the inclusion criteria,72 patients with dialectical acute phase of Bell's palsy belonging to the wind-heat type were collected. In accordance with the patient's order of treatment, the random number table method is used to divide into two observation groups:the treatment group(Shaoyang meridians acupoint from Zhang Peiling's experience)and the control group(acupuncture mainly based on Yangming meridians),with 36 patients in each group.Based on the baseline data of the two groups of patients on the treatment day(before treatment),the curative effects of the two groups were respectively observed and evaluated after the 7th,14 th,and21th times of the treatment according to the facial injury score and H-B(House-Brackmann)grading scale.Results:1.Before treatment: The patient's baseline data, including age,the ratio of the gender and disease composition, duration of disease, facial injury score, and H-B grade were compared between the two groups, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.After the 7th times of the treatment:(1)Comparison with in the group:The facial injury scores and H-B grades of the two groups were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.001).It is suggested that both treatments have a significant improvement in the degree of facial damage and facial nerve function recovery.(2)Comparison between groups:There was no significant difference in facial score,H-B grade and curative effect between the two groups(P>0.05),showing that the two treatment methods have no difference in the improvement of the degree of facial damage and the recovery of facial nerve function.3.After the 14 th times of the treatment:(1)Comparison between groups:The difference in facial injury scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was superior to the control group in the improvement of the degree of facial damage.(2)Comparison between groups:There was no significant difference in H-B grade and curative effect between the two groups(P>0.05),showing that there is no difference in the degree of facial damage and improvement in the efficacy of the two treatment methods.4.After the 21 st times of the treatment:(1)Comparison between groups:There were significant differences in facial injury scores and H-B grades between the two groups(P<0.05),showing that the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the degree of facial damage and recovery of facial nerve function.(2)Comparison between groups:In the treatment group,26 cases were cured,9cases were markedly effective, and 1 case was effective. In the control group,17 cases were cured,13 cases were markedly effective, and 6 cases were effective. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was better than the control group.Conclusions:1.The two treatment methods of acupuncture with Shaoyang meridians(mainly depends on Zhang Peiling's experience)and conventional acupuncture(mainly withacupoints from Yangming meridians)both have significant effects on the treatment of patients with the Acute wind-heat type Bell's Palsy.2.Taking the Shaoyang, meridian acupoints which depends on Zhang Peiling's experience as the main acupuncture treatment of acute phase wind-heat type Bell's palsy is better than conventional acupuncture(mainly with Yangming meridian acupoints). It not only avoids facial stimulation, increases the patient's compliance, but also improves the cure rate of the disease, shortens the course of the disease, and is worthy of being promoted in clinical application.
