Objective:To investigate the safety and feasibility of laparosco pic testicular reduction in the treatment of inguinal cryptorchidism i n children. And review our experience with this approach. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 203 cases of inguinal cryp torchidism in the pediatric surgery of Guangxi Medical University f rom January 2016 to December 2018 was performed.According to the surgical procedure, the patients were divided into open surgery group(group A)and laparoscopic surgery group(group B).The co mponents of laparoscopic surgery were conventional laparoscopic gr oup(group B1)and single-hole laparoscopic group(group B2).De mographic data, preoperative testicular position, operation time, bloo d loss, postoperative hospital stay, complications, postoperative testic ular position, and testicular survival were compared between the tw o groups and the B1 and B2 groups.Result:There were 100 patients in the open surgery group and 103 patients in the laparoscopic group, including 59 patients in the conventional laparoscopic group,44 patients in the single-hole lapar oscopic group,60 patients with left cryptorchidism,98 patients on t he right side, and 45 patients on both sides.month.There was no significant difference in demographic data, preoperative testicular po sition, and intraoperative blood loss between group A and group B(P>0.05).The operation time was lower in group A than in group B(P <0.05).The postoperative complications were higher in group A than in group B(P <0.05).There was significant difference in p ostoperative testicular position and complications between group A a nd group B(P <0.05).The B1 and B2 groups showed no statistical ly significant differences in demographic data, preoperative testicular position, intraoperative blood loss, operation time, postoperative ho spital stay, postoperative testicular position, and postoperative compli cations(P>0.05).Conclusion:Abdominal testicular reduction is safe and feasible in the treatment of inguinal cryptorchidism in children. The position of the testicular descending is more satisfactory than that of the o pen surgery, the complication rate is lower, and the trauma is small er.Single-hole laparoscopic testicular reduction can achieve the sam e surgical results as conventional laparoscopic testicular reduction,a nd the incision cosmetic effect is better. After surgery, there is no visible scar, but it is more difficult than conventional laparoscopic s urgery.Increase, the learning curve is extended.
