| ObjectiveTo summarize the characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes at different age levels and sort out Professor Li Saimei’ s treating experience. In this study we use the mathematical attribute partial order structure diagram under the formal concept analysis. We also verify the feasibility of partial ordered theory in the comparative study of different TCM objects.MethodsOne hundred and fifty patients type 2 diabetes(50 young people,50 middle-aged,50 elderly patients)treated by Professor Li Saimei were studied. The data of patients’ symptoms, prescriptions, and Chinese medicines were selected and standardized.A full sample and youth were established upon this basis. The symptoms, prescriptions, and traditional Chinese medicine forms of middle-aged and elderly type 2 diabetic patients were optimized to generate corresponding partial order structure diagrams, and analysis was carried out through comparison.ResultsOn the whole,by excavating the partial ordered diagram formed by all cases,it has been found that the common symptoms of type 2 diabetes patients treated by Professor Li Saimei are string pulse, dry mouth, yellowish coating, slippery pulse, and red tongue. The syndrome type is mainly based on hot syndrome and excess syndrome.Blood stasis, phlegm dampness, phlegm heat, and bodily fluids deficiency are also very common.A small number of patients show deficient syndrome and cold syndrome. The prescription is made based on Gegen Qilian Decoction combined with Lizhong Bolus. In addition,Shensiwei Decoction,Baihu Decoction,Guizhi Decoction,Sini Decoction, etc are also commonly used prescriptions;traditional Chinese medicine usually includes Pueraria,Astragalus,Rhizoma Coptidis,Zhigancao,Codonopsis,Ginger,Atractylodes Rhizome,Poria,Trichosanthin,Rehmannia,Corn Must, red peony, etc.Blood circulation phlegm,yang-developing and diuretic medicine, tonic liver and kidney herbs are also applied.By analyzing the symptoms of patients of different ages,it is found that the general symptoms of the young group include mainly dry mouth, red tongue, slippery pulse, string pulse and yellow moss. The specific symptoms were mainly hot syndrome and excess syndrome;the symptoms of middle-aged group are primarily line pulse, sleep disorder, yellow fur,red tongue and slip pulse. The specific symptoms are mainly displayed by disorder of liver and spleen, and yin deficiency and internal heat. The common symptoms in the elderly group are string pulse and slip pulse, dry mouth, white fur, pale red tongue.Specific symptoms are mainly blood stasis, liver and kidney deficiency symptoms. For prescriptions of patients of different ages.It is found that the most common prescription for the young group was Gegen Qilian Decoction, and the specific prescriptions are mostly related to heat-clearing.The most common prescription in the middle-aged group is Lizhong Bolus. The specific prescriptions are mostly spleen, phlegm and kidney-reinforcing prescriptions. The most common prescription for the elderly group is Guizhi Decoction. The specific prescriptions are mostly prescriptions for warming and dispelling cold, nourishing yin and tonifying kidney, and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.By analyzing the Traditional Chinese medicines of patients of different ages.It is found that traditional Chinese medicine has high prevalence in the young and middle-aged groups. For example, licorice, medlar, epimedium, astragalus, berberine, puerarin, dried ginger, trichosanthin, codonopsis, and corn mustard has high prevalence in the youth group and the middle-aged group;in the elderly group,The proportion of heat-clearing herbs such as Astragalus and Rhizoma Coptidis are decreased, and the amount of traditional Chinese medicines such as ramulus cinnamomi, wolfberry, aconite and Hawthorn are increased. In terms of specific Chinese medicine, the treatment for young group mainly includes heat-clearing and phlegm-relieving herbs while Qi-activating,yin-developing and mood-smoothing herbs are often applied in treatement for the middle-aged group. In contrast however, tonic medicine is usually used in the elderly group. It is found that the use of jaundice and berberine in terms of frequency, young group>middle-age group>old group; In terms of dose, the most commonly used doses of Astragalus and Coptis in the young group are 30-40g each, while the middle-aged group and the elderly group are 15-20g each. The second commonly used dose in the middle-aged group is 30-40g each, and the elderly group is 5-10g each.ConclusionIn this study,50 patients with ideal effects in the young,middle-aged,and elderly groups were selected, and data on their symptoms, prescriptions, and Chinese medicines were searched. From the perspective of age,we found, contrasted, and summarized Professor Li Saimei’ s methods of TraditionalChinese medicine for patients with type 2 diabetes patients in different ages.At the same time, the feasibility of using the partial ordered theory to compare the characteristics of the attributes from the perspective of different TCM objects is verified,so that the research results can better reflect the advantages of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, meeting the current information and the up-to-date requirements for the precision of Chinese medicine as well. |
