The Study Of Modified Wuling Powder In Preventing Postpartum Urinary Retention

ObjectivesThis study is guided by the theory of "preventive treatment of disease"in TCM,a prospective randomized controlled study was conducted to observe the effect of oral modified Wuling powder on postpartum urination for 2 hours after delivery,and to clarify the clinical efficacy of modified Wuling powder in preventing postpartum urinary retention.To provide a simple,effective and practical method for clinical prevention of postpartum urinary retention.Methods218 parturients were randomly divided into two groups,from May 2018 to January 2019 in the inpatient department of the first affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese Medicine.The control group(109 cases)received routine nursing care after delivery.Treatment group(109 cases)received postpartum routine nursing and taked orally modified Wuling powder at 2 hours after delivery.The clinical curative effect was evaluated by observing the scores of urinary excretion at 6 hours and 8 hours after delivery,the scores of TCM symptoms at 2 hours,6 hours and 8 hours after delivery,and the bladder residual urine volume at 6 hours after delivery by B-ultrasound.After collecting data,statistical analysis was carried out to determine the preventive effect of modified Wuling Powder on postpartum urinary retention.Results1.To evaluate the deficiency of qi and blood in parturients by TCM symptom score:(1)In the control group,the scores of TCM symptoms were decreased at 2 hours after delivery,6 hours after delivery and 8 hours after delivery(the higher the integral,the more obvious the deficiency of qi and blood)group(P<0.05).(2)The scores of TCM symptoms in the treatment group were decreased at 2 hours after delivery,6 hours after delivery and 8 hours after delivery(P<0.05).(3)At the same time period,that is,at 6 hours after delivery and 8 hours after delivery,the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).2.To assess the voiding status of the parturients with the urine score:(1)The scores of micturition in the control group were lower than those in the control group at 6 hours and 8 hours after delivery(the higher the score was,the worse the voiding situation was)(P<0.05).(2)After 6 hours and 8 hours after delivery,the scores of urination in the treatment group showed a decreasing trend P<0.05).(3)The scores of urination in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at 6 hours and 8 hours after delivery.(P<0.05).3.The incidence rate of postnatal urinary retention was 0 in the treatment group and 7.34%in the control group.That is,the incidence rate of postnatal urinary retention in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionsThrough this study,take orally modified Wuling powder combined with routine nursing can effectively improve the puerperal face pale,fatigue,shortness of breath and other deficiency of qi and blood symptoms;It can effectively reduce the incidence rate of postpartum urinary retention,improve the function of the postpartum bladder and the recovery of autonomic urination.And this research uses modified Wuling powder traditional dosage form powder oral,the onset time is quick,the action effect is obvious,the quantity is cheap,the taking convenience,is worth in the clinical promotion.
