ObjectiveBased on data mining technology, the prescriptions and medication rules of modern doctor in the treatment of postinfectious cough(PIC)by traditional Chinese medicine were analyzed and summarized. And it reminded us that "reconciliation method" was palying an importing part in the treatment of PIC.Last but not least,in order to offer the scientific and effective references for clinician, the prescriptions and medication rules of Professor Liu Qiong in the treatment of PIC were analyzed and summarized.MethodsOn the iterature research part, the data of prescriptions in treating PIC from Literature from March 2000 to February 2018 was collected through multiple databases. The data was used to build an information database, and input into the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)inheritance support platform(V2.5),and then was analyzed based on revised mutual information, principle analysis, complex system entropy cluster and unsupervised hierarchical clustering composing principles. On the clinical research part, retrospective analysis of Liu Qiong professor’s treatment of outpatient with PIC was mainly through clinical cases.Through using the(TCM)inheritance support platform(V2.5),the treatment experience of professor Liu Qiong was excavated.ResultsOn the iterature research part:148 drugs were involved in 220 prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)used by modern doctors to treat post-infection cough.According to the classification of drugs, mainly belongs to the Lung,Spleen and Stomach meridian. Moreover, the character of pharmic property were discovered, such as the four characters and five tastes. The drugs and medical compatibility with a higher frequency of PIC were presented and analyzed respectively. The highest correlation of drugs is Radix Stemonae, aster, almond,Platycodon grandiflora, licorice, ephedra, orange peel, cicada slough.Last but not least,6 new prescriptions were explored from the database, which could lead us to explore new therapy in the treatment of PIC.Clinical study:Take the reconciliation method as the principle of treatment,154 drugs were involved in 84 prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)used by Professor Liu Qiong to treat PIC.The character of pharmic property were discovered, such as the channel tropism, four characters and five tastes. After that,high-frequency medicines and association rules among these herbs were computed and analyzed.Last but not least,8 new prescriptions were explored from the database. We could inveatigate the drug use regularity of Professor Liu Qiong by all of these.ConclusionIt can be inferred from the law of drug use that modern doctors subconsciously reached a consensus on the pathogenesis of postinfectious cough that the wind evi was palyed an important role in the happening of PIC.Therefore,Zhisousan is often used as the main prescription for PIC in clinical practice. In addition to the recovery of lung function, the use of drugs should also focus on the role of spleen and stomach in lung disease. It is concluded from the excavated new prescription that attaching importance to the role of qi in PIC may have broad prospects and satisfactory clinical effects.Professor Liu Qiong thinks that the main pathogenesis of post-infection cough is the confused movement of qi and residual wind evil. Therefore, the most important principle of treatment is to promote the flow qi and eliminate the evil.Besides, dispelling wind and spasmolysis, dryness and dampness, clearing heat and phlegm, nourishing Yin and moistening dryness are taken into account. Most of the prescriptions are based on Xiaochaihutang and Zhisousan.Consideration is given to both cold and heat, bitter, sweet and pungent.Professor Liu Qiong makes good use of insect drugs is characteristic.ALL of these are worthy of reference for clinical.
