Objective:This thesis aims to investigate the relationships among serum soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2(sST2)levels,tenascin-C(TN-C)levels,and heart failure grade and short-term prognosis through observing the changes of serum sST2 and TN-C levels in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:According to the Framingham diagnostic criteria,90 patients, who were diagnosed with chronic heart failure in the Department of Cardiology,Loudi Central Hospital from February 2018 to October 2018,were randomly selected as the heart failure group. In addition,30 healthy subjects were chosen to be the control group(group A).Furthermore, the 90 patients in the heart failure group were classified into three groups according to the NYHA cardiac function classification: 31 patients with cardiac function level II(group B),32 patients with cardiac function level III(group C),and 27 patients with cardiac function level IV(group D).Lastly,we detected the concentrations of serum sST2 and TN-C for all selected subjects by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).All enrolled patients were recorded for major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)through a re-admission record, outpatient review,or telephone follow-up in March.Result:1.It is observed that the mean values of the concentrations of serum sST2 levels increased from group A,group B,group C to group D,with statistical difference.(p<0.05)[(431.4±70.2)VS(563.8±125.2)VS(797.9±159.1)VS(1042.2±119.3)pg/ml;p<0.05].Likewise,the mean values of the concentrations of serum TN-C levels increased from group A,group B,group C to group D,with statistical difference.(p<0.05)[(61.1±8.4)VS(85.0±9.4)VS(89.6±14.2)VS(106.8±14.1)pg/ml;p<0.05].sST2 and TN-C levels were compared between groups, with statistical differences,p<0.05.2.The positive correlations between the concentrations of serum ssST2 and NT-proBNP could be observed(the correlation coefficient is 0.729;p<0.05).Similarly,one might find that the concentration of serum TN-C is positively correlated with that of NT-proBNP(the correlation coefficient is 0.595;p<0.05)and that the concentration of serum sST2 is also positively correlated with that of serum TN-C(the correlation coefficient is 0.607;p<0.05).3.We obtained the comparison of serum sST2 between MACE group and non-MACE group: [(898.81±232.74)VS(653.77±242.95)pg/ml;p<0.05] and the comparison of serum TN-C between MACE group and non-MACE group: [(96.15±14.97)VS(82.53±20.05)pg/ml;p<0.05].4.The area under the ROC curve of serum sST2 on the prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure was 0.760(95% CI: 0.657-0.863;p<0.05);The area under the ROC curve of serum TN-C on the prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure was 0.711(95% CI: 0.611-0.810;p<0.05);The area under the ROC curve of serum NT-proBNP on the prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure was 0.872(95% CI: 0.807-0.936;p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The results appear to suggest that the concentrations of both serum sST2 and TN-C levels will increase in patients with chronic heart failure, and the concentrations are positively correlated with the heart function classification.2.This could further imply that both sST2 and TN-C levels are with MACE events in patients with chronic heart failure.
