The Study On Clinical Trial Of Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture Combined With Aur Icular-plaster Therapyfor Post-stroke Depression

ObjectiveComparing the clinical efficiency of Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture combined with Auricular-plaster Therapy and Escitalopram between a Escitalopram monotherapy on post-stroke depression(PSD)patients,the study evaluated the clinical value of Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture combined with Auricular-plaster Therapy for PSD and provided a new therapy for Chinese Medicine to treat PSD.MethodsOverall,62PSD patientswere consecutively recruited and divided into treatment group and control group randomly.The treatment group was treated by Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture combined with Auricular-plaster Therapy and Escitalopram,while the control group used Escitalopram monotherapy.Fol l owed up for 1 month,the study measured the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-24),Barthel index(BI)and Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale(TESS)and did statistical analysis of scale score change.ResultsOf 200 stroke survivors,the treatment group was comparable with control group in general conditions(P>0.05).the results of HAMD-24 and B1 compared among the groups before and after treatment were significant difference(P>0.05),and the two intra-group comparison of the scales shown statistically significant(P<0.05),which mean the two therapies both had clinical effect.TESS scale also shown that Tongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture combined with Auricular-plaster Therapy and Escitalopram between was more Security than Escitalopram monotherapy(P<0.05).ConclusionThe study demonstrated thatTongdu Tiaoshen Acupuncture combined with Auricular-plaster Therapy and Escitalopram was a effective and safe treatment for PSD.
