Objective:In order to understand the nutritional status(overweight/obesity/innutrition)and development trend of primary and middle school students in Zhangjiagang in recent years,to provide basis for students' prevention and control of malnutrition and obesity.Methods:Collect the data from 7-19 year old students in 2013-2017 years of primary and middle school health examination in Zhangjiagang,filtering data,choosing students' data on sex,birth date,height,school nature,and grade are all available.The nutritional status of the students was evaluated according to the "Classification Standard of BMI for Overweight and Obesity Screening in Chinese School-age Children and Adolescents","Boundary Value Range of BMI Screening for 6-19 Year-old Children and Adolescents in China.and "Boundary Value Range of Growth Retardation Screening for 6-19 Year-old School-age Children and Adolescents in China".The data are analyzed by SPSS 19.0.Results:In 2013-2017 years,the detection rate of malnutrition among primary and middle school students in Zhangjiagang decreased from 6.63%to 4.63%,overweight detection rate increased from 13.98%to 15.94%,obesity detection rate increased from 10.12%to 13.57%,the trend of overweight and obesity is obvious.The detection rate of overweight in boys increased from 17.14%to 18.98%,the detection rate of obesity increased from 12.83%to 16.27%,and the detection rate of malnutrition decreased from 7.09%to 5.25%.The detection rate of overweight in girls increased from 10.18%to 12.35%,obesity from 6.86%to 10.37%,malnutrition from 6.08%to 3.92%,the detection rates of boys were higher than those of girls.The malnutrition rate is decreasing,overweight rate and obesity rate are increasing at all stages of learning,the prevalence of obesity in primary school increased from 11.58%to 14.61%,higher than that in junior high school and senior middle school.The obesity rate of students in public schools increased from 10.36%to 13.34%,the prevalence of obesity in schools for migrant children increased from 7.88%to 10.39%,the overweight and obesity rate in public schools was higher than that in schools for migrant children.The detection rate of overweight in urban schools increased from 15.24%to 17.06%,the detection rate of obesity increased from 10.40%to 12.57%,the detection rate of overweight in township schools increased from 13.34%to 15.38%,and the detection rate of obesity increased from 9.98%to 13.26%,the detection rate of obesity in township schools increased rapidly and surpassed that in urban schools.Conclusion:Malnutrition among primary and middle school students in Zhangjiagang is gradually improving,and overweight and obesity are not optimistic.The nutritional status of boys is not as good as that of girls,the lack of awareness of dietary management among primary school students leads to the unsatisfactory overall nutritional status of primary school students.The nutritional intake of public students is greater than that of migrant workers'schools,and obesity and overweight are obvious problems.The nutritional outcomes of township schools are changing,obesity is becoming more prominent and even more than urban areas.
