ObjectiveWith the improvement of living standard and the westernization of lifestyle, the incidence of colorectal cancer in our country has gradually increased, and most colorectal cancer originates from existing colorectal polyps.Screening for colorectal polyps by colonoscopy is helpful for the prevention of colorectal cancer.Current studies have found that abnormal lipid metabolism is associated with the occurrence of colorectal polyps, but it is still controversial.Lipid elevation can cause fatty acid damage to hepatocytes and lead to hepatic steatosis. Some studies have found that fatty liver is correlated with colorectal polyps. At present, the controlled attenuation parameters of liver detected by transient elastograph can quantitatively reflect the degree of hepatic steatosis. To analyze the correlation between lipid metabolism and colorectal polyps, and the correlation between lipid metabolism related indicators and controlled attenuation parameters of liver,so as to provide clinical basis for guiding healthy people in colonoscopy screening,so as to prevent the occurrence of colorectal cancer more effectively.MethodA total of 466 patients who underwent electronic colonoscopy in Qingdao Municipal Hospital from January 2016 to January 2018 were selected for retrospective analysis.According to the results of examination, they were divided into two groups: colorectal polyps group(287 cases,189 males and 98 females)and control group(179 cases,114 males and 65 females).Total Cholesterol(TC),Triglyceride(TG),High Density Lipoprotein(HDL),Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL),Apolipoprotein A1(ApoA1),Apolipoprotein B(ApoB),lipoprotein a,Body Mass Index(BMI)were compared between the two groups.Controlled Attenuation Parameter(CAP)of liver was measured by Fibroscan, and the correlation between lipid metabolism and CAP was analyzed.SPSS 22.0 software was used to analyze the data, with P < 0.05 as the statistical significance.ResultsThere were 189 males and 98 females in the colorectal polyps group, aged 39-77 years, with an average age of 57.607.81 years. There were 114 males and 65 females in the control group, aged 25-78 years, with an average age of 56.2010.44 years. There was no significant difference in the general data(gender and age)between the two groups(P > 0.05).There were 128 cases(44.60%)with high TG in colorectal polyps group and 56 cases(29.63%)in control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(c 2=8.17,P < 0.05).There were no significant differences in TC,HDL,LDL,ApoA1,ApoB and lipoprotein a levels between the two groups(P values were 0.080,0.124,0.843,0.976,0.102,0.137,respectively),and CAP values in colorectal polyps group(233.6852.10 dB/ M)was higher than CAP(210.4851.80 dB/m)in the control group and BMI(24.763.31 kg/m2)in the colorectal polyp group than that in the control group(23.043.41 kg/m2).The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the CAP values of colorectal polyps were positively correlated with the levels of TG,LDL and BMI(r = 0.201,r = 0.135,r = 0.438;P < 0.05),but not with the levels of TC and HDL(P > 0.05).Conclusion1.Higher values of triglyceride, body mass index and controlled attenuation parameters of liver may be risk factors for colorectal polyps, participate in or cause the occurrence of colorectal polyps.2.Controlled attenuation parameters of liver in patients with colorectal polyps were positively correlated with triglyceride, low density lipoprotein and body mass index.
