Objective By constructing the rhesus monkey model of Yang deficiency syndrome, the relationship between Yang deficiency syndrome of TCM and characteristics of retinal blood oxygen saturation was e xplored. Methods Firstly, the information of oxygen saturation in retina and fingertip artery of normal rhesus monkeys were collected, and then the model of Yang deficiency syndrome in rhesus monkeys was constructed by intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone. The success of the model was verified by the changes of behavioral characteristics and blood biochemical indicators before and after the e xperimental rhesus monkeys were established. After the model was successfully constructed, the retinal oxygen saturation of rhesus monkeys was collected to e xplore the relationship between the two.Meanwhile, the fingertip artery oxygen saturation was collected to e xplore the characteristics of the changes before and after the model was established. Results 1.Characteristics of oxygen saturation of retinal vessels and fingertip arteries in normal rhesus monkeys The mean oxygen saturation of retinal artery and retinal vein in normal rhesus monkeys was 90.17 ± 4.89 and 60.12 ± 10.22 respectively.Mean oxygen saturation of fingertip artery was 96.22±3.21 2.Behavioral and blood biochemical results of rhesus monkeys after modeling(1)Results of laboratory observation: the macaques in yang xu group showed various symptoms of Yang deficiency, such as loss of spirit, loss of appetite, pond, and decreased activity.(2)Blood biochemical test results: After the macaque monkeys in Yang xu group were molded, the blood of the middle vein of the elbow was e xtracted. The results showed that the e xpression of Ig M was significantly reduced and the e xpression of FT4 was significantly increased after molding.3.Characteristics of retinal vascular oxygen saturation and fingertip artery oxygen saturation in rhesus monkeys after modeling There was no significant difference in the oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins between Yang deficiency group and control group(P > 0.05),but the oxygen saturation of arteries increased significantly(P < 0.05).The oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins in the control group had no significant difference before and after modeling(P > 0.05).The oxygen saturation of retinal veins increased significantly after modeling(P < 0.01).The oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins in the control group had no significant difference before and after modeling(P > 0.05).The oxygen saturation of retinal veins increased significantly after modeling(P < 0.01).The mean oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins in Yang deficiency group before and after modeling was 59.92 ± 11.41,and 64.98 ± 7.73 after modeling. The oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins increased significantly after modeling(P<0.05).The mean oxygen saturation of the artery before and after the model establishment was 88.72 ±10.22 and 92.82 ±9.64,respectively.The oxygen saturation of the artery increased significantly after the model establishment(P<0.05).The oxygen saturation of the infratemporal retinal artery and the retinal oxygen saturation of the superior vein in the Yang deficiency group were higher than those in the control group(P < 0.05).The oxygen saturation of the infratemporal retinal artery and the retinal oxygen saturation of the superior vein in the Yang deficiency group were higher than those in the Yang deficiency group(P < 0.05).The oxygen saturation of retinal arteries and veins in each quadrant before and after modeling in Yang deficiency group: There was no significant difference in oxygen saturation of retinal inferior temporal artery, inferior nasal artery, superior temporal artery, superior venous retina and superior nasal artery before and after modeling in Yang deficiency group(P > 0.05).There was significant difference(P < 0.05).The mean oxygen saturation of fingertip artery in model group was 96.25±4.21.Conclusion 1.The oxygen saturation of retinal artery in normal rhesus monkeys was significantly higher than that in veins(P < 0.05).2.After injecting hydrocortisone sodium succinate into rhesus monkey muscle for a period of time, the syndrome model of Yang deficiency in rhesus monkey can be successfully constructed.3.The oxygen saturation of retinal artery and vein in the Yang deficiency group increased after the model establishment compared with that before the model establishment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.Compared with the oxygen saturation of fingertip artery before and after the model establishment, there was no significant change in oxygen saturation of fingertip artery in Yang deficiency group(P > 0.05).
