This research is based on the key research project of science and technology department of sichuan province-" superstars breeding of Chinese traditional medicine,research on the technology integration of the whole industrial chain of Tengjiao and industrialization demonstration(No.: 2018SZ0064)".the project involves the following quality standard items,including the resources prophase investigation,character,identification and content determination of Tengjiao(Zanthoxylum armatum DC.),and sets the quality standard of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati according to the above study of quality standard items.Zanthoxylum armatum DC.,a plant of Rutaceae Zanthoxylum,was first recorded in Bencaotujing.The fruit has rich flavor and hemp taste and can be used to dissipate cold,relieve pain and expel ascarid.At present,the different maturity fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.have been used in Sichuan province.As a Sichuan conventional medicine,Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati has not yet been contained in "standard of Chinese medicinal materials of Sichuan province",but only contained in local standards of Hunan and Guangxi provinces,which describes and specifies the characters,identification and processing of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati and lacks of test,extract and content determination,et al.Thus,the quality of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati could not be effectively controlled,which greatly restricts its clinical application.Based on the above problems,the following researches were carried out in this paper:Research on the material basis of the fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.in different maturity of Sichuan.employing high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),ultraviolet spectrophotometry(UV)and the gas phase-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),the content determination method of sanshool,total amide,limonene and linalool in the fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.was established.Taking the content of sanshool,total amide,volatile oil,limonene and linalool as the evaluation index,the change rule of numbness and aroma substances in the fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.in different maturity of Sichuan was studied.Results show that the red ripe fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.is more reasonable to be used as medicine than the green fruits in the near-mature period.Research on the quality standard of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati.According to prescriptive measure of Chinese pharmacopoeia(2015),the plant morphology,medicinal materials character and microstructure Characteristics of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati were described.The TLC method for the identification of flavonoids and sanshool of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati was set.The content limits of moisture,ash and extract were established.And the content limits of sanshool,total amide and volatile oil of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati were determined.In addition,HPLC fingerprint of amide of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati was established for the first time.To sum up,this paper determined the appropriate maturity of the fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.for medicine according to the research on the numbness and aroma substances of the fruits of Zanthoxylum armatum DC.in different maturity,and established the quality standard of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati,so as to ensure the quality and clinical efficacy of Pericarpium zanthoxyli armati.
