Objective: To evaluate the effect of hormone replacement therapy combined with mindfulness based stress reduction on menopausal women’ s symptoms and mood improvement.Methods: Seventy female climacteric patients were selected from climacteric clinic.They were randomly divided into experience group MHT with MBSR(n=35)and control MHT group(n=35).At baseline and 8 weekends of treatment,all patients were assessed with Modified Kupperman Index(KI),Generalized Anxiety Disease(GAD-7),Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)to evaluate the effects.Results: 1.Baseline AssessmentThere was no statistical difference between the two groups in general data and the baseline of each scale(P>0.05).2.Treatment 8 weeks of menopausal symptoms:2.1KI:The total score of KI,sweating with hot flashes,sensory disturbance,insomnia,agitation,fatigue and palpitation in the experimental group decreased.The total score of KI,sweating with hot flashes,sensory disturbance,fatigue and palpitation in the control group increased(P < 0.05).The total score,hot flashes,sweating,sensory disturbance,insomnia and agility of KI were significantly different between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).2.2 Somatization Symptoms Scale:The total scores of somatization symptoms scale,dizziness and headache,sleep disorder,fatigue,loss of interest,cardiovascular symptoms,hot flashes,sweating,worry,anxiety andgastrointestinal symptoms in the experimental group were lower than those before treatment.The total scores of control group,dizziness and headache,sleep disorder,fatigue,cardiovascular symptoms,hot flashes,sweating and gastrointestinal symptoms were lower than those before treatment,and the changes were statistically significant(P < 0.05);the scores of sleep disorder,loss of interest,anxiety,and gastrointestinal symptoms in somatization symptom scale were significantly different between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).3.Emotional improvement after 8 weeks of treatment:The total score of P HQ-9 in the experimental group and the control group decreased by2.0 and 1.2 respectively,while the total score of GAD-7 in the experimental group and the control group decreased by 2.1 and 1.1 respectively,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).There was significant difference in PHQ-9 score and GAD-7 score between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).Conclusion 1.Menopause Hormone Therapy combined with mindfulness decompression therapy can significantly alleviate the symptoms of menopausal women and improve their quality of life.2.Menopause Hormone Therapy combined with mindfulness decompression therapy is effective in the treatment of anxiety and depression in menopausal women.
