| Objective:This study assessed the associations of TM6SF2 rs58542926 SNP with primary hepatic carcinoma in northeast Chinese Han population. Methods: A case-control study was conducted,in which 342 patients with primary liver cancer were included as the case group and 164 healthy people as the control group.According to the etiology, the case group was divided into three groups:hepatitis B virus-related hepatic carcinoma group, hepatitis C virus-related hepatic carcinoma group,alcoholic-related hepatic carcinoma group.According to the presence or absence of cirrhosis, the case group was divided into hepatic carcinoma with cirrhosis group and non-cirrhosis hepatic carcinoma group.Patients’ personal data and blood samples were collected, then detecting relevant biochemical indexes.TM6SF2 rs58542926 gene polymorphism was detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results: Compared with the control group, the frequency of TM6SF2 rs58542926 T allele was significantly higher in the case group(OR=1.825,p=0.042).After further grouping, there were significant differences in T allele frequencies in patients with alcoholic related hepatic carcinoma group and CT/TT genotype frequencies in patients hepatic carcinoma with cirrhosis group and the control group(p=0.032 and0.045,respectively).No significant difference in TM6SF2 rs58542926 CT/TT genotype frequencies and T allele frequencies was found between other groups and control group(p>0.05).According to Child-Pugh score, patients in the cirrhosis-related hepatic carcinoma group were divided into≥7 points group and< 7points group. There was no significant difference in genotype and allele frequencies between the two groups(p>0.05).The case group was grouped according to whether TM6SF2 rs58542926 T allele was carried or not.Except for age, there were no significant differences in sex, liver enzymatic parameters,TBIL,ALB,FBS and AFP between CT/TT group and CC group in the case group.Except for gender and GGT in hepatitis B virus-related hepatic carcinoma group, age in alcoholic-related hepatic carcinoma group,FBS in non-cirrhosis hepatic carcinoma group, there was no significant difference in other indicators between CT/TT group and CC group. Conclusion : TM6SF2 rs58542926 gene polymorphism is associated with the occurrence of hepatic carcinoma in northeast Chinese Han population, which exists in patients with alcoholic liver disease and patients with cirrhosis, but not in patients with hepatitis virus and non-cirrhosis hepatic carcinoma. It is considered that TM6SF2 rs58542926 SNP has no influence on liver enzymology, albumin,TBIL,AFP and FBS in primary hepatocellular carcinoma. |
