Objectives: Buxus austro-yunnanensis Hatusima distributes in southern Yunnan(Shuangjiang,Lancang and Jinghong). However, little report was.related with the chemical composition and biological activity of the plant. In order to make full use of the medicinal plant resources, the chemical components were isolated and identified with various separation methods and techniques, and preliminary myocardial protective effect of the isolated compounds was explored. Methods: The chemical compositions of B.austro-yunnanensis were isolated by repeated silica gel column chromatography, gel Sephadex LH 20,preparation HPLC,and were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic approaches, including 1D and 2D NMR,and X-ray diffraction analysis.Moreover,doxorubicine(DOX)-induced-H9C2 cell model was used to test the myocardial protective effect of the isolated compounds. Results: It turned out that buxaustroines A–O(1–15),a serial of triterpenoid alkaloids featuring with an novel 18(13?17)abeo-motif,along with two known ones(16-17),were obtained from the extract of Buxus austro-yunnanensis.In the bioactive assessment, compounds 4,7,9-10,12-13,and 16-17 displayed potential protective effect against doxorubicin(DOX)-induced apoptosis of myocardial cells. |
