Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between central arterial pressure, peripheral blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy of essential hypertension patients. Methods:The basic clinical data central arteries pressure related value, ambulatory blood pressure of 497 patients are collected from the department of hypertension of the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university.According to the left ventricular mass, the patients were divided into two groups-the normal left ventricular mass group(n=367,male LVMI<115g/m~2,female LVMI<95g/m~2)and the left ventricular hypertrophy group(n=130,male LVMI?115g/m~2,female LVMI?95g/m~2).The relationship of those indexes between left ventricular mass and its influence factors was analyzed. Results:There was no significant difference in BMI,fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol,HDL,LDL-C,apolipoprotein AI,apolipoprotein B,creatinine, urea nitrogen, serum cystatin C,admission pulse pressure, and central arterial pressure between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference between sex, age, triglyceride, admission systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, central artery systolic blood pressure, central artery diastolic blood pressure,24h systolic blood pressure,24h diastolic blood pressure, and 24h pulse pressure of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that LVH was positively correlated with SBP,DBP,CSBP,CDBP,CPP,24hSBP,24hDBP and 24hPP(r=0.341,P<0.01;r=0.237,P<0.01;r=0.362,P<0.01;r=0.240,P<0.01;r=0.236,P<0.01;r=0.362,P<0.01;r=0.185,P<0.05;r=0.268,P<0.05).After adjusting age and gender, the relation between central artery systolic blood pressure and left ventricular mass was more intense than the corresponding 24h systolic blood pressure In the multiple stepwise regression analysis. Conclusion:In patients with essential hypertension, left ventricular mass index is more closely related to central arterial systolic blood pressure compared with 24h systolic blood pressure and indoor blood pressure.
