Objective: To investigate the correlation between TRPC3 gene polymorphism and left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with essential hypertension. Methods: A total of 307 patients who were admitted to the Department of Hypertension of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from March 2016 to November 2017 and diagnosed with essential hypertension were selected, including 205 males and 100 females.According to the echocardiographic findings, they were divided into simple hypertension group(control group,n = 224 cases)and hypertension combined with left ventricular hypertrophy group(LVH group,n = 81 cases).Sequenom MassARRAY? SNP detection technology was used to genotype TRPC3 single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)loci Rs953651,Rs10518209,Rs2292232,Rs4995894,Rs951974,and Rs4292355.Results:(1)Differences in age, smoking history, drinking history, family history, urea, creatinine, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and 24-hour mean diastolic blood pressure between the two groups There was no statistical significance(P> 0.05),and the differences in gender,BMI,and 24-hour mean systolic blood pressure were statistically significant(P <0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in the genotype distribution frequency of the TRPC3 gene single nucleotide polymorphism sites Rs953651,Rs10518209,Rs4995894,Rs951974,and Rs4292355 between the two groups(P> 0.05),and the genotype distribution frequency of Rs2292232 The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).(3)Logistic regression analysis showed that gender(OR = 0.332,95% CI = 0.181 ~ 0.610,P = 0.000),24-hour average systolic blood pressure(OR = 1.035,95% CI = 1.014 ~ 1.056,P = 0.001),TRPC3 gene SNP Rs2292232 TT genotype(OR = 2.105,95% CI = 1.109 ~ 3.995,P = 0.023)is an independent risk factor for LVH in patients with hypertension. Conclusion: The TNP3 gene Rs2292232 SNP is associated with LVH in patients with hypertension, and TT genotype patients are more likely to develop LVH.
