Clinical Observation Of Mai Xue Kang Capsule In The Treatment Of Carotid Atherosclerosis With Phlegm And Blood Stasis

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of maixuecang(MXK)capsule in the treatment of carotid atherosclerotic plaques with phlegm and blood stasis blocking collaterals,and to evaluate the safety of drug therapy,so as to provide evidence for clinical treatment.Methods:Ninety patients diagnosed with carotid atherosclerosis who visited the encephalopathy center of jiangsu hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2019 to March 2020 were selected and divided into three groups,30 patients in each group.All patients were performed treatment on a regular basis(guarantee medication balance between groups),the experimental group(MXK group)on the basis of conventional treatment taking MXK capsule(3/time,3 times/d),the control group(statin group)based on the conventional treatment on the basis of taking atorvastatin(20 mg,1/d),and combined treatment group(MXK+statin)based on the conventional treatment on the basis of taking atorvastatin(20 mg,1/d)and MXK capsule(3/time,3 times/d),total treatment for 12 weeks,90 patients in the group before and after carotid ultrasound and blood lipid in check,Changes in plaques,blood lipids,TCM syndromes and adverse reactions were observed before and after medication in the three groups,and statistical methods were used to conduct statistics and analysis,and to evaluate the clinical efficacy of MXK capsule in the treatment of atherosclerosis with phlegm-stasis syndrome.Results:(1)Carotid artery color doppler ultrasound results:after treatment,IMT and plaque thickness of the three groups of patients were all reduced compared with that before,among which,IMT reduction degree was as follows:Combined treatment group>statin group>MXK group;Plaque thickness:Combined treatment group>statin group>MXK group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)(2)Biochemical results:Through the examination of blood lipid before and after medication,the TC,TG and LDL-C values of the three groups were all reduced and HDL-C values were increased after drug treatment,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05).The comparison between groups showed that the combined treatment group had a better effect than the MXK group and the statin group,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05)(3)TCM syndromes and clinical efficacy:after comparing the TCM symptoms and efficacy evaluation of the three groups of patients before and after treatment,it was found that the combined treatment group was better than the MXK group and the statin group in improving the efficacy of TCM symptoms.In terms of improving the curative effect of TCM symptoms,the combined treatment group was better than MXK group and statin group.Clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine:Combined treatment group>MXK group>statin group;In terms of clinical efficacy of western medicine,Combined treatment group>statin group>MXK group,the difference has statistical significance.(4)No obvious adverse events or adverse reactions occurred in the treatment of the three groups of patients.Conclusions:Maixuecang(MXK)capsule combined therapy with atorvastatin can effectively adjust the blood lipid levels of patients,reduce the thickness of the carotid intima-media thickness and plaques,and also can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with atherosclerosis,clinical curative effect is superior to pure maixuecang(MXK)or statin group,without adverse reactions occur,to combine traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of CAS in clinical evidence is put forward.
