| Objective:The classical herbal MaHuang-FuZi-XiXin Tang(Ephedra-Aconitum-Asarum Decoction),was recorded in the "Shanghun Lun《伤寒论》" published by Zhang Zhong Jing.By means of this review,research and examination of the modern literature on the subject,it is the objective to conclude the applicability of the decoction in respect to disease,persons and risk-free quantitative consumption.The facts and information so collected will form the basis of reference in the use of the decoction in an accurate and safe manner by world-wide physicians.Methodology:Processed the analytical information related to the decoction including source of concepts,principle of prescriptions set by past years physicians,laboratory research from China and International bodies,clinical experience and practice in modern times,and medical research on prescription and syndrome correlation.A total of 22,672,76,118 and 13 medical cases were respectively collected for analysis from records of olden times,modern times,Huo Shen Pai,Professor Huang Huang,and Japan.Statistical analysis of data includes sex,age,seasonal morbidity,pathology systems,symptoms and signs,prescribed medical quantity and decoction modified recipes.The study includes detailed and systematic analysis of all features about MaHuang-FuZi-XiXin Tang.Based on the collected statistical results on "suitability for human being consumption" and "appropriateness for specific disease",it is able to indicate the safety measures in and suitability of the application of the decoction.Analysis Summary:(1)Safety charactristics in the use of MaHuang-FuZi-XiXin Tang in human being consumption.According to the statistical results,there is a higher proportion of females taking the decoction.The most frequently seen bodily characteristics treated with the decoction include fat and normal physique;yellow and dark skin colour complexion featured with fatigued,face oil,edema of the face,black eye circle,red lips and thick hair.Other symptoms of patients include mental fatique,apathy,sluggishness,low voice,depressed or anxious,drowsiness,and slow response.It is also commonly diagnosed having fear cold,running nose,not thirsty with no drinking,thin sputum,clear abundant urine,pale tongue,thin white moss,pulse sinking and deep pulse,and tight pulse.Examinations of abdominal body usually evidenced with abdominal tenderness,thick and/or soft.(2)Applicability of MaHuang-FuZi-XiXin Tang.The applicability of the decoction treatment covers the following category of systems and diseases:-Ciculation System,Otorhinolaryngology,Respiration System,Mental Nervous System,Dermatological System,Rheumatic Immune System,Urogenital System,Motion System,Gynecology Diseases and Exogenous Febrile Diseases.The most commonly disease symptoms include,skin sinus node syndrome,arrhythmia,allergic rhinitis,sore throats,deafened,toothache,bronchial asthma,pneumonia,trisense neuralgia,narcolepsy,diabetes mellitus momplicated with peripheral neurosis,chronic fatigue syndrome,depression,urticarial,shingles,anhidrosis,acne,rheumatoid arthritis,Reynolds syndrome,acute and chronic nephritis,nephrotic syndrome,chronic prostatitis,slide sperm,enuresis,lumbar disc protrusion,cervical spondylosis,irregular menstrual pain,dysmenorrhea,infertility,amenorrhoea,growth retardation,diabetic nephropathy,thromboangitis,mastitis,artriosclerosis obliterans of lower extremities,and exogenous febrile.Typical disease symptoms include:-fear cold,fever,no sweat,edema,weak,drowsiness,low spirit,yawning,asthma,chest tightness,bradycardia,cardiopalmus,body pain,headache,running nose,deafness and tinnitus,toothache,salivation,not thirsty,voice thumb,pharynx disadvantage,loss of appetite,skin pruritus and dry skin,limb pain,limb shaking,limb pain and shaking,limb cold,loose stool,clear abundant urine,post menstrual error,dysmenorrhea,and impotent.Conclusion:According to the detailed statistical data study collected from various medical records,in particularly those from Professor Huang Huang,there is a clear understanding of the safe applicability of the MaHuan-FuZi-XiXin Tang in human being as well as an equitable view on the application of the decoction to treat numerous disseases. |
