BackgroundHead and neck cancer is one of the more common malignant tumors in clinic. The annual incidence of this disease is about 15.20/100,000,accounting for about 10.2%of all tumors.Surgical treatment is an important way to treat patients with head and neck cancer, but affected by its anatomical location, tumor metabolism and surgical methods, patients often have malnutrition, immune deficiency, easy to occur postoperative complications.Immunonutritional therapy is a new direction of tumor therapy in recent years, and the results of previous studies have shown that immunonutrition with specific nutrients can make patients recover as soon as possible and reduce postoperative complications.ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of nutrition status and immune function improvement of patients with head and neck cancer after application of enteral immunotolerative nutrition during perioperative period,so as to guide the nutritional support treatment of patients with head and neck cancer in clinical practice, improve the quality of life of patients, and effectively shorten the length of hospitalization.MethodsThis study is a prospective clinical trial and was approved by the hospital ethics Committee.Using randomized controlled methods, choice in November 2018 to October2019 of head and neck cancer patients during the hospital surgery, unified inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, randomly selected through screening and signed informed consent of 50 patients with head and neck carcinoma undergoing elective surgery, based on the digital meter method, the experimental group and the control group, each group of 25cases.Patients in the experimental group were added with enteral immune nutrient Ruieren(TPF-T)7 days before surgery and discharged after surgery.Patients in the control group received nutritional counseling at 7 solstice before surgery and were discharged after surgery.Patients with baseline data data gathered into groups,1,7 acquisition in the two groups before and after operation in patients with venous blood on an empty stomach, detection in patients with serum total protein, serum albumin, serum prealbumin, immunoglobulin IgA,immunoglobulin IgG levels and CD3~+T cells and CD4~+T cells and CD8~+T cell percentage, assessment statistics before leaving hospital patients postoperative incision healing and length of hospital stay.Results1.Nutrition-related indicators of patients in the experimental group showed that the contents of serum total protein, serum albumin and serum prealbumin were significantly better than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).2.Immunoglobulin IgA,immunoglobulin IgG,CD3~+T cells,CD4~+T cells and CD8~+T cells in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).3.The first-grade wound healing rate in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).4.The length of hospital stay in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe application of enteral immunonutrition in perioperative period can improve the nutritional status of patients with head and neck cancer, improve the immune response of the body, and help the recovery of postoperative function of patients, which is worthy of clinical reference.
