Objective: To acquire the statistical result of the Number,staining and metastasis of lymph nodes of patients with oral squamous carcinoma,the cervical lymph nodes were stained with Nanocarbon Lymphatic tracer before operation,and by comparing it with traditional treatment results,to assess the actual tracer effect of Nanocarbon Lymphatic tracer,to debate the connections between black staining lymph gland and cancer cell metastasis,to Further improve the treatment of oral cancer patients and cumulate experience for the application of Lymphatic tracer technology.Methods: Retrospective case-control study was adopted.Altogether 56 cases of Oral Squamous Carcinoma patients who were hospitalized in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of The Second Hospital of Dalian Medical University during January,2017 to January,2020,and The patients were randomly divided into two groups: carbon nanoparticles(experimental group,26)and routine surgery(conventional group,30).Patients in the control group were not injected withnanocarbon before surgery,and the patients in the experimental group were injected with the nanocarbon lymphatic tracer 1 day before surgery,and the same operation was performed the next day.After the operation,specimens were sent to the pathology department for routine HE staining,and the total number of lymph nodes in the two groups was counted.Results: Altogether 616 lymph glands were obtained from 26 cases of the experimental group,with the average dissection number of 23.85±5.99(the most of 36 and the least of 16).Altogether 385 lymph glands were obtained from 30 cases of the conventional group,with the average dissection number of 12.83±3.66(the most of 19 and the least of 6).Compared with the control group,the number of lymph nodes detected in the experimental group was significantly increased.The differences between both groups had statistical significance(P<0.05).Among the 616 lymph glands dissected from the nanocarbon tracing group,there are altogether 170 unstaining lymph glands and 446 black-staining lymph glands with the staining rate of 72.4%.This indicates that the staining effect is significant.In the experimental group,altogether 616 lymph glands were cleared,with the average dissection number of 23.85±5.99,among which 15 transferred,with the average dissection transferred number of 0.58±1.10 and the positive rate of 2.4%.But in the conventional operating group,altogether 385 lymph glands were cleared,with the average dissection number of 12.83±3.66,among which 12 transferred,with the average dissection transferred number of(0.43±0.77)and the positive rate of 3.1%.The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).A total of 446 stained lymph nodes were detected in the experimental group,and 10 of them were confirmed to have metastasis by postoperative pathology,with a positive detection rate of 2.3%.And 170 unstained lymph nodes were detected,5 of them were confirmed to have metastasis by pathology after operation,and the positive detection rate was 2.9%.The difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Nanocarbon Lymphatic tracer technique can stain cervical lymph glands,and make lymph glands more pronounced compared with surrounding tissue,and can also reflect lymphatic reflux in the operation area,which had certain guiding function in dissecting oral squamous carcinoma lymphonodi cervicales.Therefore,it has higher clinical value.2.Nanocarbon Lymphatic tracer technique can significantly increase the number of postoperative pathological lymph gland detection.It could help obtain correct pathological stage,which is of great significance for post-operation comprehensive treatment.3.Nanocarbon Lymphatic tracers have no higher tendency for metastatic lymph nodes,so it can not improve the positive rate of metastatic lymph nodes.4.Nanocarbon lymphatic tracer technology still has some drawbacks,it could not be regarded as the basis of determining whether lymph gland has metastasized,and it can not change the principles of surgery.
