Objective:This study observe the clinical effect of acupuncture at "Fenghu" point on chronic cough,which to explore the therapeutic mechanism and to enrich the methods of treating this disease in traditional medicine.Methods:From February 2019 to January 2020,a total of 60 patients diagnosed with chronic cough in the acupuncture and respiratory department of Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the National Physician Hall of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and the acupuncture and moxibustion department of Gulou District Jiangdong Community Health Service Center were collected.This study was treated once a day and continued for 7 days and recording in the two groups before and after treatment of Cough Symptom scores,VAS and LCQ scores,with SPSS26.0 data among them were analyzed.The purpose is the comparison of two groups of curative effect of differences in such aspects as cough.Results:1.After statistical analysis,there was no statistical significance(P>0.05)between the two groups of patients before treatment,which means they were comparable.2.Comparison in the group:The scores of Cough Symptom scores and VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the scores of LCQ all scales were higher than before treatment.There was a significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.05).3.Comparison between groups:there were significant differences in chest tightness and LCQ psychological score between the two groups(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in daytime cough,nighttime cough,total cough score,sputum cough,pharyngeal itch,VAS score,LCQ physiology and LCQ social comparison(P>0.05).4.Comparison of clinical efficacy of cough:the total effective rate of the treatment group was 80%higher than that of the control group(73.33%),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture at "Fenghu" point can effectively alleviate cough,expectoration,pruritus and physical symptoms in patients,and the effect is equivalent to that of simple oral Compound Metonamin Capsules;2.Compared with the control group,acupuncture at "Fenghu"point has more obvious effects on chest tightness and psychology in patients with chronic cough.
