Therapeutic Effect Of Eperisone Hydrochloride Combined With Hydrotherapy On Senile Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of eperisone hydrochloride combined with hydrotherapy in the treatment of senile knee osteoarthritis.Methods:Eighty patients with knee osteoarthritis aged between 60 and 80 years old admitted to Wuxi Tongren Rehabilitation Hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were selected.According to the random method,they were divided into 4 groups with 20 cases in each group.Control group:routine treatment group(no eperisone hydrochloride or hydrotherapy);Eperisone hydrochloride group:oral eperisone hydrochloride was added on the basis of conventional treatment.Hydrotherapy group:exercise training in warm water at 37-38?;Combined treatment group:oral eperisone hydrochloride combined with exercise training in warm water at 37-38?.The changes of Womac Osteoarthritis Index,ISOA score,FTSST time and uCTX-II were observed before and 8 weeks after treatment.The adverse reactions of patients in each group were recorded during the treatment.Results:(1)After 8 weeks of treatment,the Womac Osteoarthritis Index in the four groups were all lower than before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The Womac Osteoarthritis Index in eperisone hydrochloride group,hydrotherapy group and combined treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Womac Osteoarthritis Index in the combined treatment group was lower than that in thydrotherapy group and eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Womac Osteoarthritis Index in hydrotherapy group was lower than that in eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)After 8 weeks of treatment,ISOA scores of eperisone hydrochloride group,hydrotherapy group and combination treatment group were lower than those before treatment,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).ISOA scores of control group were similar to those before treatment,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).ISOA scores of eperisone hydrochloride group,hydrotherapy group and combined treatment group were all lower than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).ISOA score of the combined treatment group was lower than that of the hydrotherapy group and the eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ISOA score of hydrotherapy group was lower than that of eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)After 8 weeks of treatment,the level of CTX-II in the eperisone hydrochloride group and the combined treatment group was lower than that before the treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of CTX-II in the control group and hydrotherapy group was similar to that before the treatment,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The level of CTX-II in the eperisone hydrochloride group and the combination treatment group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of CTX-II in hydrotherapy group was similar to that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The level of CTX-II in the combined treatment group was lower than that in the eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)After 8 weeks of treatment,FTSST was lower in all the four groups than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).FTSST in combination treatment group,eperisone hydrochloride group and hydrotherapy group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).FTSST in the combined treatment group was lower than that in the eperisone hydrochloride group and the hydrotherapy group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Hydrotherapy FTSST was lower than that of eperisone hydrochloride group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)After 8 weeks of treatment,there were no obvious complications or adverse reactions in the four groups.Conclusion:Combined hydrotherapy with eperisone hydrochloride can significantly improve the pain,stiffness and daily activities of elderly patients with early and middle chronic knee osteoarthritis,and reduce the level of urinary CTX-II,which is better than oral eperisone hydrochloride and hydrotherapy alone,and has a protective effect on articular cartilage.
