Objective:To study the difference of androgen and glycolipid metabolism index between patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)and normal women;and analysis the association between them. Methods:Totally 318 cases were enrolled and divided into two groups: one is control group including 137 women none of PCOS at child-bearing age,one is PCOS group including 181 PCOS patients.Measured the body height and body weight and calculated BMI,Collected The routine biochemical indicators and androgen profile.Calculated and compared the differences of androgen and glycolipid metabolism indexes between the two groups. Then the association between androgen and glycolipid metabolism index was analyzed. Results: The serum testosterone T = 0.81(0.60,1.00)and FAI = 17.15(11.67,26.81)in PCOS patients were significantly higher than those in non-PCOS women {T=0.43(0.33,0.55);FAI=3.55(2.29,5.68)},while SHBG was low;In terms of glycolipid metabolism,The TG?TC?LDL-C,sdLDL of PCOS patients were higher than those of the control group, and HDL-C was lower;the fasting blood glucose, insulin, and HOMA-IR of the PCOS group were significantly higher than the control group. In addition,FAI?testosterone were significantly positively correlated with the BMI,triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and insulin resistance index(HOMA–IR);SHBG was negatively correlated with TG and sdLDL,and negatively correlated with FBG?Fins and HOMA-IR.The correlation between FAI and HOMA-IR is more significant in PCOS patients. Conclusion:PCOS patients have hyperandrogenemia and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism such as insulin resistance or hyperlipidemia.Androgen is associated with dyslipidemia;Androgen had be positively correlated with HOMA-IR,and the correlation is more significant in the PCOS,which show that hyperandrogenemia is closely related to insulin resistance.
