Objective:Though analysis endocrine and metabolism characteristics of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, to find the factors associated with insulin resistance, in order to correctly diagnosis and therapy the PCOS.Methods:34 cases patients with PCOS were recruited according to the revised diagnostic criteria, announced in the 2003 American Society for Reproductive Medicine/European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ASRM/ESHRE) Rotterdam consensus.20 women were selected as healthy controls. To record the content of the patients as follow:menstrual flow, hyperandrogenism, gonadal hormone, fast blooding glucose, fasting insulin and blood lipid. Then the patients were divided into different groups according to different markers, the results were compared between the different groups.Results:(1) The level of LH、LH/FSHU、T、fasting plasma glucose, fasting plasma insulin, HOMA-IR、TG and LDL of the PCOS group were higher than the control group, all the differences were significant (P<0.05); (2) The PCOS patients were divided into two groups according to the BMI. Fasting Plasma glucose, fasting plasma insulin, HOMA-IR, TG of the obese PCOS group(BMI≥25 kg/m2)were higher than those of the lean PCOS group (BMI<25 kg/m2), while the level of L^ HDL were lower than the lean PCOS group, all the differences were significant (P<0.05); (3) The PCOS patients were divided into two groups according to the insulin levels. The level of T. fasting plasma glucose、fasting plasma insulin. HOMA-IR. TG. HDL were higher than that of the group without insulin resistance, all the differences were significant (P<0.05); (4) The PCOS patients were divided into two groups according to the testosterone levels. The TG level of the hyperandrogenism group (T> 0.84ng/mL) was higher than that of the group without hyperandrogenism(T≤0.84ng/mL), while the PRL level lower, all the differences were significant (P<0.05); (5) The PCOS patients were divided into two groups according to the ages. There were no significant differences between adolescence (20 years old≤age≤40 years old) and child-bearing period (14 years old≤age< 20 years old); (6) The HOMA-IR of PCOS patients was demonstrated to be positive correlated with BMI and the level of T、FPG、FINS、TG、LDL; There were no correlation between HOMA-IR and the level of TC; There were negative correlated with the level of LH and HDLConclusion:( 1) Obesity may has contacts PCOS through hyperinsulinism/insulin resistance, the obese PCOS patients are easier to present insulin resistance; (2) The lean PCOS group relies on higher LH level, IR is rare; the obese PCOS group relies on insulin resistance; (3) The PCOS group had much higher TG、LDL and lower HDL than the control group; (4) PCOS patient has metabolic syndrome, such as obesity, insulin resistance, sugar and lipid metabolism, etc.
