Research purposes: This topic is based on the literature research of ophthalmology of ancient and modern Chinese medicine,and sorts out,analyzes and discusses the treatment theory of traditional Chinese medicine for optic atrophy and the characteristics of ancient and modern medicines,in order to provide relevant theoretical references and drug reference for the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of optic atrophy.Research technique:In the ancient literature part,first determine the "optical nerve atrophy" corresponding to the ancient literature search term as "blue blind",and then search it in the Chinese Medical Code;in the modern literature part,by searching "China Knowledge Network","Wanfang Medical Network" and "Weipu Chinese Journal" and collect literature related to optic nerve atrophy.After screening,the relevant information is included in the Excel sheet,and the prescriptions are sorted out for statistics and analysis,and the theoretical content such as the disease name,etiology and pathogenesis,and rule of treatment are summarized.Result:1.Optic nerve atrophy is a " blue blind " disease in traditional Chinese medicine.In ancient times,it was mostly treated according to the syndrome differentiation of its etiology and pathogenesis,and there was no clear syndrome differentiation.Modern syndrome types are more and multifarious,and the top four syndrome types are liver qi stagnation syndrome,qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,qi and blood deficiency syndrome,and liver and kidney deficiency syndrome.2.In terms of treatment research,there were internal administrati on of traditional Chinese medicine,acupuncture and moxibustion,eye spot and medicinal diet in ancient times.Modern Chinese me dicine treatment methods include internal administration of Chines e medicine,acupuncture,acupoint injection and combination of ac upuncture and medicine.3.In ancient times,86 prescriptions were involved in the treatment of " blue blind ",among which 147 traditional Chinese medicines were used.Modern treatment of optic nerve atrophy involves 73 prescriptions,153 traditional Chinese medicines,the total frequency of drugs 2731 times,the highest frequency of a single drug is angelica.In high frequency medicine,ancient and modern prescription common medicine has angelica,licorice,ripe ground,atractylodes,rhizoma chuanxiong,chrysanthemum,poria cocos.Conclusion:1.Chinese medicine has a long history of understan ding of optic nerve atrophy.The etiology and pathogenesis of this disease are complicated.It mainly involves four factors: "deficiency","depression","heat",and "stasis",involving the liver,kidney,heart,and spleen.Although different ancient and modern doctors hav e different understandings of this disease,they have emphasized s yndrome differentiation and treatment when using traditional Chin ese medicine.With the development of medicine,modern Chinese medicine has more specific and detailed understanding of the etio logy and pathogenesis of this disease.The types and rule of law are becoming more and more perfect.2.Ancient and modern treatment of optic atrophy is mainly based on tonic deficiency medicine.In terms of medication details,the ancient and modern prescriptions used the most tonics and blood tonics.In addition,ancient and modern medicines all pay attention to the combination of tonifying and tonic,and make good use of anti-wind medicine,but modern medical doctors pay more attention to the use of activating blood circulation and opening medicine.
