A Multicenter,Randomized,Double-blind,Placebo-controlled Study Of The Efficacy And Safety Of Yangxinxue Granule In The Treatment Of Chronic Heart Failure

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Yangxinxue granule treating for chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods: We admitted 108 CHF subjects,divided equally into group 1(treatment group)group 2(control group).Two groups were given basic treatment of western medicine.Group 1 taking Yangxinxue granule(10g/ bag)three times orally,Group 2giving placebo granule,Two groups received of 6 months treatment and follow-up visit.Endpoints:1.Main outcome indicators:1-year cardiovascular-related mortality,recurrence frequency of CHF.2.Secondary outcome indicators:compared BNP levels,length of hospital stay,hospital number differences of Yangxinxue granule before and after treatment of CHF patients.re-hospitalization frequency and length of stay after one year treatment.3.Quality of life indicators:6-minute walking test(6MWT),Minnesota quality of life score(MLHFQ),MLHFQ after one year treatment.Results: The mean frequency of CHF and BNP in group1 were lower than group 2(P<0.05).There is no difference in hospitalization frequency and hospitalization duration between group 1 and group 2(P>0.05).The 6MWT of group 1 is significantly increased compared with the group 2(P<0.05),and MLHFQ is significantly decreased compared with group 2(P<0.05).There is no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during the intervention(P>0.05).the recurrence frequency and rehospitalization frequency of CHF in group 1are significantly reduced(P<0.05).There is no difference in 1-year cardiovascular-related mortality,rehospitalization duration and MLHFQ between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: The treatment of CHF with yangxinxue granule combined with westernmedicine can reduce the number of AHF,reduce BNP and MLHFQ,and increase the distance of 6MWT,so as to improve the quality of life in patients with CHF,and it's safe.
