Objective:To study the effect of magnesium isoglycyrrhizate combined with albendazole in the treatment of echinococcosis in mice.Methods:The cysts of clinically diagnosed patients with vesicular hydatidosis were collected,the cysts fluid was extracted,the original nodule was isolated,the same batch of Balb/c mice were infected,and the mice were fed for 3 months under the same conditions.After that,the mice were randomly divided into 5 groups,10 in each group,respectively:(1)albendazole group(2)magnesium isoglycyrrhizate group(3)albendazole + magnesium isoglycyrrhizate group(4)infection group(5)blank group.After the last dose,serum samples were collected.The levels of IFN-,TNF-,il-10,il-4 and il-2 in peripheral blood were detected by ELISA,and Ig G and Ig E levels in peripheral blood were measured by FACS.Th1,Th2 levels of inflammation and immune response.ALT and AST were detected in the blood to evaluate the effect of reducing liver cell injury.Then the mice were sacrificed,and the tomont in their bodies were separated.The number of tomont,the wet weight and the inhibition rate of tomont in each group were observed.Results:Abdominal enlargement was observed in all mice infected with protocticariae.After the treatment,multiple vesicles were found in the mice,mainly distributed in the liver,but also in other parts of the abdominal cavity.Mice treated with the drug showed different degrees of cysts atrophy,and the number and weight of cysts decreased compared with those of the infected group.The inhibition rate of cysts in the combined group was 79.9%,65.3% and 37.3%,respectively,compared with the two groups.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the three treatment groups,il-10 and il-4 decreased and il-2 increased compared with the infection group,among which the combined group showed the most significantchange(3.48±0.93).The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).TNF-and IFN-values were significantly higher in several infected groups than in the blank group.After the corresponding treatment,all of them decreased to different degrees,and the degree of decrease in > albendazole group and > magnesium isoglycyrrhizate group was statistically significant.Ig G and Ig E levels were lower in the treatment group than in the infection group,and the difference was statistically significant.Among the three treatment groups,magnesium iso-glycyrrhizate group and the combined group had better effects on reducing AST and ALT,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:Magnesium iso-glycyrrhizate combined with albendazole in the treatment of echinococcosis in mice showed significant improvement in inflammatory level,Th1 significantly increased,Th2 significantly decreased,anti-hydatid immune response enhanced,and liver function improved.
