The Research Of Relationship Between TCM Constitution And Syndrome Element Of Seborrhea Oleosa In Chengdu Area

Objective: The study is designed to research the relationship between TCM Constitution and syndrome element of Seborrhea Oleosa in Chengdu area based on the theory of body fluid.TCM Constitution Questionnaire,Syndrome elements Questionnaire,and The Baumann Skin Type Indicator for Skin Oiliness are used to investigate the physical distribution and syndrome elements distribution of seborrhea oleosa patients.The correlation between those is discussed on the base of survey data.Methods: According to the authoritative TCM Constitution Questionnaire,a questionnaire survey of 350 patients with seborrhea oleosa was conducted to obtain information on the patients’ constitution,skin oiliness scale and syndrome information.SPSS 22.0 software was used to analyze the correlation between the patients’ TCM constitution and the syndrome elements.Results: 1.Among 350 patients with seborrhea oleosa,the phlegm-dampness constitution ratio is the highest,followed by damphea constitution > qi-deficiency constitution = qi-stagnation constitution > yang-deficiency constitution > yindeficiency constitution > blood-stasis constitution > mederate constitution > special intrinsic constitution.Among which,patients with qi-stagnation constitution(19.9%)are predominantly mild,those with phlegm-dampness constitution(24.3%)are more common in moderade patients,and phlegm-dampness constitution(22.6%)and damphea constitution(17.8%)are more common in severe patients.2.The main disease locations of patients with seborrhea oleosa are liver,spleen and kidney.Among which,Spleen(33.6%)and Others(26.0%)are predominantly mild,disease locations Liver(49.6%)and Spleen(26.3%)are more common in moderade patients,Sleen(47.1%)and Kidney(27.1%)are more common in severe patients.3.The relationship between the location of disease and TCM constitution are as follows: Liver and qi stagnation constitution(P<0.001),phlegm-dampness constitution(P<0.001),and damphea constitution(P=0.001)shows dominant correlation;Spleen and qi-deficiency constitution(P<0.001),damphea constitutions(P=0.001),and phlegm-dampness constitution(P=0.048)shows dominant correlation;Kidney and yin-deficiency constitution(P<0.001),yang-deficiency constitution(P<0.001),damphea constitutions(P=0.009),and blood-stasis constitution(P<0.001)shows dominant correlation.Conclusion: Among 350 patients with seborrhea oleosa,phlegm-dampness constitution,damphea constitution,qi-deficiency constitution and qi stagnation constitution are the most susceptible.The main disease locations of patients with seborrhea oleosa are liver,spleen,and kidney.There is a significant link between the syndrome elements and the constitution of patients of diffrent degrees,which meets the theory of body fluid’s understanding on this field.
