Molecular networking is a visual computing strategy that integrates all molecular ion data into an intuitive network map based on the similarity of ion fragments. It can quickly identify and discover new compounds on a large scale. It is often used in the identification of novel natural products, drug metabolism and drug development. In this paper, the molecular network of mass spectrometry was mainly used to analyze saponins of six Clematis species, compare the differences in chemical composition of Bufonis Venenum before and after processing and the distribution of diterpenoids in eight Euphorbia species. The results were as follows:The study identified 25 triterpenoid saponins from six different species of Clematis rehderiana,Clematis potaninii Maxim,Clematis akebioides Maxim,Clematis peterae Hand,Clematis delavayi Franch,Clematis songorica.including sixteen hederagenin saponins and nine oleanolic acid-type saponins. At the same time, according to the colors and proportions representing the constituent nodes, the differences in triterpenoid saponins from six plants were visually distinguished.Clematis rehderiana,Clematis potaninii Maxim,Clematis songorica and Clematis akebioides Maxim had high similarities, and could be used as medicines in ethnic medicine.Triterpenoid saponins were less in Clematis delavayi Franch and needed to be replaced with caution.Clematis peterae Hand don't contain Triterpenoid saponins, and was not a substitute for medicine.Sixty-nine kinds of chemical components were identified from different toad extracts, mainly divided into arginine esters, toadsamines and bufadienolides.bufadienolides were the main ingredients.Comparing the differences in the content of bufadienolides in the toads made from wine and the toads made with water under the same drying conditions,It was found that wine processing could significantly increase the content of bufotoxin from Bufonis Venenum, but had no significant effect on the contents of bufogenin;Comparing the differences in the content of bufadienolides in the wine made from toads under different drying methods,it was found that both the direct light and the temperature had no significant effect on the content of the bufadienolides in the wine. The distribution of different types of diterpenoids in eight Euphorbia plants was investigated. The results showed that ingenane and lathyrane diterpene ester compounds were most widely distributed in DJ007 plants. It was recommended to extract and isolate these compounds from DJ007 plants. However, ingenane and lathyrane diterpene ester compounds are less distributed in DJ001,DJ003,and DJ004,and they were not recommended for extraction of these compounds. There was still a cluster of unidentified diterpenoids mainly in DJ002,DJ006,and DJ007,which needed to be further studied. In summary,LC-MS / MS molecular network technology ws not only suitable for the identification of novel natural products, but also had great advantages in the replacement of traditional Chinese medicine resources and the analysis of composition differences before and after processing.
