Objective: To investigate the relationship between hyperuricemia and podocyte injury by measuring the concentration of podocyte-related protein molecules in the urine of patients with hyperuricemia and healthy patients in the Minda hospital of Hubei university for nationalities. Methods :100 patients with hyperuricemia from July 2018 to November 2019 in Minda hospital were selected as the hyperuricemia(HUA)group, and 100 non-hyperuricemia healthy people matched age and sex were selected as the healthy control(HC)group.Blood uric acid, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen level data were detected by the Hitachi 7600 in the two groups of blood, and urine protein quantity measured in 24 hours urine sample from patients with hyperuricemia and healthy controls. The levels of podocyte injury marker proteins podocin, podocalyxin and nephrin in urine samples of the two groups were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA.)Analysis of the association between podocyte injury marker proteins and serum uric acid, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen,as well as 24-hour urinary protein amount were analyzed in both groups of hyperuricemic patients and healthy controls.Results:1.There was no difference in age,sex baseline data between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Urine podocalyxin level in HUA group was 8.495±1.725ng/ml,higher significantly than 2.232±0.414ng/ml in the HC group(t=46.338,P<0.05).3.Urine podocin level in the experimental group were 416.313±110.456pg/ml,much higher than 26.582±24.068 pg/ml in the control group(t=29.02,P<0.05).4.Nephrin level in HUA group was 7.863±1.816 ug/L,also higher than 1.069±0.521ug/L in HC group(t=35.27,P<0.05).5.The level of podocalyxin, nephrin and podocin were positively correlated with serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen,24 hour urine protein amount and serum uric acid(P<0.05,respectively).Conclusion: The results that levels of podocyte injury marker proteins podocalyxin, nephrin and podocin increased in the urine of patients with hyperuricemia suggest that hyperuricemia may cause podocyte injury.Meanwhile, podocalyxin, nephrin,as well as podocin were positively correlated with 24-hour urinary protein amout, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, indicating that podocalyxin, nephrin and podocin levels in urine were helpful in the diagnosis of renal function injury in patients with Hyperuricemia.
