| Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and safety of the Traditional Chinese medicine hot pack on Patients with early Wind-cold-dampness Arthralgia Type Knee Osteoarthritis,and to provide a reference for the reduction of painkillers in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods:This subject prospectively collected 75 patients with knee osteoarthritis of Wind-cold-dampness Arthralgia Type in the orthopedics(joint surgery)of our hospital from November 2018 to November 2019.Collecting and recording general information of patients,including age,gender,BMI and laterality.The patients were divided into 38 patients in the experimental group and 37 in the control group by random number table.The treatment plan of experimental group:hot compress with Traditional Chinese medicine hot pack for 4weeks+oral celecoxib for 2 weeks;the control group: hot water bag for 4 weeks+oral celecoxib for 2 weeks.Observation were conducted before treatment,1 week of treatment(VAS score only),2 weeks of treatment,and 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)and visual analog scale(VAS)in motion were compared in two aspects,and the adverse reactions such as drug allergy,skin allergy,cardiovascular events,gastrointestinal bleeding,ulcer,hepatotoxicity and scald were observed.All data were statistically analyzed by IBM SPSS statistics 20 data editor.Results:32 patients in the experimental group and 30 patients in the control group were followed up.There was no significant difference in age,gender,BMI and laterality between the two groups(P>0.05).1.VAS score:there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The difference in VAS scores between the two groups treated for 2 weeks and 4 weeks was statistically significant(P<0.05).The test group was significantly lower than the control group,indicating that the Traditional Chinese medicine hot pack was better than the hot water bag in improving patients' pain.The VAS scores of the two groups were compared in pairs at different time points,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that hot compress therapy can reduce the pain of patients with knee osteoarthritis.2.WOMAC score:there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The difference in WOMAC scores between the two groups treated for 2weeks and 4 weeks was statistically significant(P<0.05).The test group was significantly lower than the control group,indicating that the Traditional Chinese medicine hot pack is better than the hot water bag in improving the knee joint functional activity.The WOMAC scores of the two groups were compared in pairs at different time points,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that hot compress therapy can improve the knee function of patients with knee osteoarthritis.3.Comprehensive efficacy:in the experimental group,8 cases were clinically controlled,21 cases were markedly effective,2 cases improved,1 case was ineffective,and the total effective rate was 96.86%;in the control group,2 cases of clinical control,6 cases markedly,15 cases improved,7 cases were invalid,and the total effective rate was76.7%.Compared with the control group P=0.046<0.05,indicating that the difference betweenthe two groups was statistically significant,and the comprehensive efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group.4.Security aspects:There were no drug allergy,skin allergy,cardiovascular events,gastrointestinal bleeding,ulcer and scald after treatment.Conclusion:the application of Traditional Chinese medicine hot pack in the treatment of early Wind-cold-dampness Arthralgia Type knee osteoarthritis can effectively relieve the pain symptoms of patients,improve the function of knee joints,improve the life quality and satisfaction of patients,and is simple and convenient to use,with high safety and worthy of clinical application And promotion. |
